Dad (bedtime)

Dad's are supposed to give advice

inspiration and such

my Dad had his own way of doing this

his own personal touch

like weekend nights when i went

out with the boys for a drink

he reminded e to wear antiperspirant

so i wouldn't stink

but the one thing i remember most

concerned the possibility of that night being alone

"Billy," he would say. "if you aren't in bed by 12,

then you might as well come home."
