Hey! Yes, I haven't updated since last century, but I'm updating now! :o) If you have any pairing ideas, please tell me. Right now I'm just going through each character and given them a "special" moment with one of the Yukimura siblings. Anyways, enjoy! :o)

Chapter 5: The Surprise Symphony no. 3

"I don't know, Mizuki-chan," Kahoko says worriedly, glancing at the other occupants of the practice room.

"You'll be just fine," Mizuki interjects with a smile. "Besides, if you can play with us, then you can definitely play solo on stage."

"But I haven't even picked a piece yet!" Kahoko wails pitifully, determined to get out of this situation.

"Sa, I have to agree with Kahoko. Someone who hasn't even picked a piece yet couldn't possibly be good enough for us to accompany." Daisuke says arrogantly, the sly twinkle in his eyes going unnoticed by the fuming Kahoko.

"I am so good enough!" she seethes at him, eyes narrowing. "Your own sister said so!"

"Ara*? Since when was Mizuki the eldest of our family?" Daisuke replies slowly with a smirk. Kahoko twitches, completely infuriated by the boy while Mizuki and Hana sweatdrop in the background.

"Ano*, Kaho-sempai," Hana whispers, raising her hand slightly.

"Who cares who's older! I'll show you that I'm better than you on my own." Kahoko huffs, falling right into Keichii's plan. Grabbing her violin, she takes a slow breath and begins to play the first song that came to mind, Ave Maria. The beautiful melody of the magic violin floats upward as the rich, warm notes of Daisuke cello accompanies her. The two mix so perfectly that Mizuki and Hana are unsure if they ought to join in. Eventually, a soft, sweet harp flits up, down, and around the main melody, adding the light hearted innocence of its owner.

Mizuki opens her mouth. Then, she closes it. Frowning, she takes to deep breath to begin before closing it again. Something withheld her from singing, as if her voice with break the powerful spell that's been cast. Glancing at the piano just a few steps away, she lefts out a slow, shaky breath. 'Just one time.' she vows to herself, settling down on the seat, unnoticed by her enthralled siblings. Wiping her sweaty hands on her skirt, she closes her eyes and begins to play.

Daisuke eyes snap open at the piano undertone that joined their symphony and grows even more alarmed to see his little sister playing it. He is tempted to stop playing and force her to stop, but he doesn't have the heart to shatter such a fantastic moment. He glances at Hana who is looking at him, waiting for his decision. Sighing, he shakes his head slightly and keeps playing, trying to drown out his worries with melody. 'Just one time.' they both time simultaneously.

"Gah, singing for concours is so much work!" Mizuki grumbles as she holds the instruction note from Kanazawa. "'The song must be a classical piece that fits the theme of the round. The song, which is probably in English, must be translated into Japanese and be given to me a week before hand so I may check it through and print it on a program for each guest. - Kanazawa--sensei'" she reads out loud, walking through the halls of the music building in search of her brother.

"You get all of the special attention, don't you Tsukimori." taunts the voice of a boy as it reaches her ears.

"Just because your parents are great musicians doesn't mean that you are." counters another boy.

"Yeah, I beat that that's the only reason the teachers picked you." scoffs another. Mizuki scowls at the comments from her position behind the corner.
