Do you love expressing your opinion through articles? Or perhaps giving others advice?

Then Wattmag wants you!

We're looking for a few new writers to join our team and submit monthly articles for our issues!

You'll get to join our Facebook group, make some new friends, and most importantly, get your work out there! The Wattmag team are an awesome bunch who get along great and love helping each other out whenever they need it. 

We're looking for people that can commit to writing us one article every month. The articles can consist of anything writing, reading, Wattpad, or fandom related. If there's an important issue you want to talk about, we also accept editorials. To give you an idea of the kind of content we're looking for here's a few article ideas to help spark ideas and examples of the different categories you can write:

Writing/reading ideas - WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A WRITER, WHY WRITING IS AN ESCAPE, WHY YOU SHOULD TRY WRITING IN A DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENT, LISTENING TO MUSIC WHEN WRITING, WHY THE FANTASY GENRE IS SO AWESOME, COMMON WRITING ERRORS, WHY CLICHES AREN'T A BAD THING, MANAGING WRITING WHILE IN SCHOOL, THE BEST WRITING TOOLS, WHY DIVERSITY IN BOOKS IS IMPORTANT, FANFICTIONS ARE REAL BOOKS TOO, 10 AWESOME HORROR AUTHORS, 10 BOOKS YOU HAVE TO READ THIS SUMMER, WHAT IS BOOK ANNOTATION?

Advice ideas - HOW TO AVOID CLICHES, HOW TO GET THROUGH A READING SLUMP, HOW TO WRITE A BAD BOY PROPERLY, HOW TO SELF-PUBLISH YOUR BOOK, THE EDITING PROCESS, FORMATTING YOUR BOOK

Fandom ideas - WHAT HARRY POTTER TAUGHT US ABOUT FRIENDSHIP, HOW WES CRAVEN MOVIES CHANGED MY LIFE, WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH HOUSE OF CARDS RIGHT NOW, IMPORTANT LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE HUNGER GAMES SERIES, WHY THE DC UNIVERSE IS AWESOME, WHY HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER HAS GIVEN ME TRUST ISSUES, THE EVOLUTION OF SHERLOCK, HOW DOCTOR WHO SHAPED MY CHILDHOOD, WHY YOU SHOULD READ THE VAMPIRE ACADEMY NOVELS, WHY ONE DIRECTION FANFICTION IS SO POPULAR

The option are truly endless! And you can switch it up and write about something different every month!

We want to hear YOU in these pieces so please be passionate about them!

All WATTMAG writers will be credited and have their chapters dedicated to them. Please do not apply for a WATTMAG permanent position unless you are definitely able to write an article for us every month before a deadline. We have guests submissions for those who can not commit to writing to us all the time or want to do it as a 'one off' thing.

Send us an email that showcases some of your writing ability! It can be an article you've already written for something else, or perhaps an essay or assignment. We want to see how well you can write.

And make sure to include in your subject line "APPLICATION" so we know you're applying for a permanent position and not just sending us a guest submission. 

Don't forget to include your Wattpad username in the email! Writers will be chosen by content and quality of work, not the amount of followers/reads they have.
