Miyuki's P.O.V
*Bbbbrrrriiiiiinngg* Went the bell, announcing the flood of children, the bonds of their teachers and classroom doors temporarily broken.
"Wait, everyone! I want you to remember to study for your quiz on... Never mind." I turned and saw the teacher sigh and turn back to her desk before rejoining the merry flood out of the classroom.
As we went past the door I thought about what everyone was so upbeat for, apart from the new year.
"Heyyy, Mizu-chan!" I turned, knowing that that voice could belong to none other than...
"Reiko-san! Sakiko-san!" I smiled as I walked up to them. Reiko and Sakiko Tachibana have been my twin best friends since Elementary school. They both have honey-gold hair with emerald-green eyes, and they always put some sunshine in my day.
"Mizu-chan! You will not guess what happened!" Sakiko squealed, her eyes wide with excitement.
"What?" I asked, my curious self shedding its bonds.
"We got invitations to go to Amano-san's house for a 'back to school' party" they sang in unison. You see, Amano Hiroaki is (according to them) the hottest, and smartest guy in the school. The twins have been dreaming about the day that he invited them to a party, and I keep telling them that they were going to one of his parties eventually since they were both beautiful and pretty smart.
"And guess what? You're invited too!" Reiko gushed.
"Why?" I asked, my face getting warm.
"Why not? You're shy, but you're also smart and gorgeous! Besides, I think he has a crush on you!!" Sakiko whispered the last part, a wicked gleam in her eyes.
I twirled some of my long, nutshell-brown hair around my finger, "You've got to be kidding. That's impossible. Besides, everyone knows that he's neutral about things like that." I countered, my face reddening.
"Who's neutral about what?"
I froze, as Sakiko squealed, while Reiko covered her mouth and subtly gestured at me to turn around.
"Huh? Aren't you going to answer the question?"
I turned around, as Amano-san's face slowly filled my vision.
"Well?"
