AUTUMN'S POV-
"Autumn can you help me with this section we're doing?" Ryan asked looking up at me.

"What section" I leaned towards him to look at the book

"Section 8, I just can't understand it and I know you can. You're good at this stuff" he shrugged and I felt a slight blush cover my face

"Yea I can, when do you want to meet up?" I asked

"Can you come over after school I can give you a ride if you need one" he explained

"Yea, sounds good" I nodded leaning back into my seat smiling

I was meeting up with Ryan in the front of the school right after the final bell. I was just heading that way when I saw May and Carmen.

"Hey guys" I walked over to them

"Hey Autumn" Carmen smiled

"Want to go with us to the movies?" May asked and I shook my head

"Sorry, Ryan asked me to tutor him" I shrugged

"Oh, that sounds interesting" Carmen wiggled her eyebrows making me blush

"Shut up, nothings going to happen" I rolled my eyes

"Whatever, have fun tutoring him" May smirked and I walked away from them as they started to giggle. I had just walked out of the doors when I saw Ryan leaning up against the wall on his phone with one strap of his back pack over his shoulder. I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder making him look up at me.

"There you are" he smiled and I laughed

"Sorry, I ran into May and Carmen" I shrugged and he nodded

"Well come on, my car is this way" he got off the wall and I followed him to his car. We both got in and he started it up driving to his house.

"Hope you don't mind, but my parents aren't home. They're working late so I planned on going to Adam's later" he explained

"Oh sounds good, is it cool if I go over there with you" I asked

"Yea of course" he nodded and we pulled into a driveway of a large house.

"Do you want anything?" He asked as we walked into the house.

"May I get some water" I replied

"Yea, I'll get you some" he smiled and he walked around into what I assume was the kitchen. I stood by the door awkwardly waiting for him to return which didn't take long.

"Here you go" he smiled handing me a bottle of water "my room is this way"

He lead us up the stairs and I could see photos littering the walls leading up them. School pictures, group photos, parents. There were so many I took my time glancing at all them as I made my way up the stairs.

"You have siblings?" I questioned looking up at him

"Yea 3 older, I'm the youngest. They've all moved out so it's just me and my parents here" he explained and I nodded. I wish I had siblings, let alone parents that actually cared for me.

"Wow, that's quite a bit" I joked

"I guess, what about you? Do you have any siblings?" He laughed as we walked into his room. It was a nice size with a full bed, desk, and dresser.

"Oh no, I'm an only child" I shook my head sighing "it's boring, I wish I would of had someone to grow up with. Especially since most of my family is out of state and I don't see them often"

"That must suck" he frowned

"Yea.. so let's go over the section shall we" I asked grabbing my textbook from my bag laying it on the desk

"Yea, is it cool if we just share a book" he glanced at me

"I don't mind"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wait, how did you get x there" he asked looking down at the book
"Because you have to combine these two numbers to get 238 and then x is divided on both sides" I explained and he shook his head still not understanding "how about we take a break"
"Really, that would be great" he sighed falling back in the bed making me chuckle "you're so good at this"
"I just study" I shrug "it's nothing major"
"What happened to your arm" he quickly changed the subject and I glanced down at my arm seeing a bruise from my parents. I started pulling down the sleeve to cover it
"I hit the corner of my dresser when I wasn't looking" I lied avoiding eye contact
"That's bullshit" I heard him mumble and my head shot up "you have bruises all the time all over your body. What you say happens to you isn't what's happening"
"I-I think I should leave actually, I remembered I can't go to May's. My parents are having someone from work for dinner and want me to be there" I started to put my things away in my bag, getting up.
"No! You always do this" he blocked my way out from his room "you always run when we say something about your bruises, how do you get them? You can't expect no one to notice"
"I really need to get going" I tried to push past him but he was a lot stronger than me and didn't move. He grabbed a hold of my arm and pulled me towards him.
"Please Autumn, we're worried about you. Let us help you" he pleaded with me
"There is no helping me because there's nothing to be helped" I got out of his grasp and push past him walking out of the house
