Dear Autumn,

Tomorrow I visit a college I've been set on going to for about two years. I'm kinda excited, but also scared and anxious. Of what I don't know, but I'm mostly excited. I need to apply to it and a few other colleges soon. Like I said before, college is scaring me as much as it used to, which is nice but odd. Shouldn't I be so frightened?? But I feel less frightened now than I ever have.

Today is also Sylvia Plath's birthday, Autumn. Or it would have been, I guess. I don't know about you, but I still consider it someone's birthday even if the person has passed away. The fact that someone has died doesn't change the fact that they were once born; in fact, I think it makes it more important to celebrate and acknowledge their birth.

Anyways Sylvia Plath is such a huge inspiration of mine. I love her writing so much and her poetry and The Bell Jar are just incredible. I can only imagine what she could have written if she hadn't died so young. A thousand more poems, maybe even another novel. I'm grateful for what she did write though. Every word is wonderful.
