"Twilight...the time between the rise of the moon and setting of the sun...quite fitting, wouldn't you agree?" A mysterious pony in a dark cloak mused as she looked out towards Ponyville from her perch on the castle's balcony.
"I'd say. But, the Celestial Era has been long forgotten. It's not of significance. Not anymore, at least." A lavender unicorn scoffed. "I can't believe I ever let that so called 'Sun Goddess' tell me what to do." She lit up her horn with a bright pink aura. "I didn't realise my true potential back then...they just held me back." She walked forward and the sky turned black, the only source of light being the sun and moon at even positions in the sky. "It's time for the era of a new age. The Era of Twilight."
The wind started to pick up and the mare's mane and tail started to blow in front of her face until only her cold, merciless eyes were visible.
"Of course," the pony in the cloak muttered and quickly dipped into a low bow. "Our first non-Alicorn ruler. Queen Twilight."
