The Flowers Of My Nightmare

Oh they taught me once;
That those dreams do come true.
But now it leaves me shaking;
Cause now it's the nightmares that do.

And they told me to look for hope;
Told me it lies high up in the sky.
But oh the clouds are dense and deep;
And they never taught me to fly.

They also told me one fine day;
That beauty lies deep within.
But how can that ever be true;
When it's more scarred than my skin.

And they explained me that time;
It waits for no one and never.
But why then it does for those tears;
And make them last forever.

But what they never told me;
That life is not all about being fair.
And so I traded my soul with it;
To plant some flowers in my nightmare.
