Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Georgia, I am 18 years old. I suffer from anxiety and depression and have been ever since I can remember. I've tried my best to not let my anxiety and depression in the way of my life, but sometimes it's just way too hard.
I recently moved from London and am currently living in California. I live with my best friend, Ashley, and my dog, Bella. Ashley and her family are practically my family. My Mother passed away when I was 9 and my Father disowned me when I was 12. He said I was too much to handle. I would've asked my extended family for help but they don't seem to like me very much either. Ashley and I have been friends since kindergarten and when her parents found out about my situation, they let me stay with them and they took care of me as if I was one of their own.
Ashley and I moved together. We decided to move mainly because of a job Ashley was offered. But also because of my ex-boyfriend, Jason.
Jason was abusive and I was lucky to have Ashley help me get away from him. I had to change my name, address, phone number, and appearance so Jason couldn't find me. He has tried contacting Ashley but she doesn't seem worried about him.
When Ashley was offered the job in California, she didn't hesitate to accept.
She and I have both wanted to live in California so it was like a dream come true.
We live close to the city, which is great because that means Ashley is close to her work and I can get a job nearby too. Ashley works for Natasha Walker, a famous music producer. Ashley is basically her assistant but gets a bonus. Ashley is an amazing singer and with a bit of persuasion, Natasha agreed to help her build a music career.
I am currently looking for jobs in the city. I would prefer to have a full time time but a part time job is better than nothing right?
I'm just praying that I made the right decision moving to California and making a fresh start.
