Cas's POV

"Hey Cas!"

I turned around to see Dean running towards me.

"Hey, wanna start working on our project?"

"Yeah sure. Your place?"

He hesitated for a moment before saying "yeah, sure"

"Alright, I'll let my family know"

To Gabriel Michael Lucifer Dad: Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I will be at a friend's house to work on a school project and won't be home till late tonight

Dad: Alright, have fun and be safe

Lucifer: drink all their beer

Michael: NO! Don't listen to him Castiel, no alcohol until your 21

Gabriel: YASSSSS CASSIE GET SOME

I couldn't help but laugh

"What's funny?" Dean asked

"Nothing, just my brothers being idiots again"

We made our way to Dean's car, a 67 Chevy Impala, and got in.

Dean started the car, and began driving.

"I just need to pick up my brother from the middle school first, alright?"

"Ok"

We pulled up at the front of the building.

Not long after a tall boy came out of the school and walked over to Dean's side. Dean rolled down his window.

"Heya Sammy!" He exclaimed

"Its Sam" he corrected "and I'm going over a friend's house to work on a school project"

Dean paused before saying
"Sam you know how dad is-"

Sam visibly flinched at the mention of his fathers name, and Dean had a look of anger.

"Yeah but dad's not home!" Sam interrupted. "And this is for homework. You know how he is about school"

Dean didn't say anything for a moment.

"Fine, but be back home as soon as you finish. Dad could come home any day now and I don't want him mad"

What did their father do to make them feel this way?

"Thank you Dean!" The boy-Sam said.

Then he looked at me.

"Oh hi! I'm Sam, Dean's brother" he said to me

"Hello, my name is Castiel. Dean and I go to the same school."

"Its nice to meet you Castiel. Bye guys!"

"Bye Sam." Dean and I say back

"Alright, shall we?" Dean asked as we began driving away. I nodded in response.

We drove to a nearby motel and I guess Dean noticed my confusion

"We're just staying here temporarily until we find another place or my dad gets another job"

"Oh ok" was all I said

We walked into the crappy motel room and put our backpacks down.

"Alright, shall we start our homework?" I ask him

"Yeah sure" he said
