You Will Want Me

Chapter Twenty-Seven - Simply Irresitable

I heard a ripping of cords and then arms around me, which was all I needed for my body to calm down. Max leant against the wall and pulled me tightly against him. He cooed soft things into my ear as my heart rate reduced to normal.

I looked up into Max’s face and gave him a small smile. Max wiped some tears off my faces as I nuzzled closer into his chest. I heard a rumble in his chest and looked up to see he was… laughing, I glared at him, how could he find this situation funny? I tried to push myself away but he only tightened him arms, pulling me impossibly close to him.

“Let go Max!” I tried pulling away again but gave up when I realised that I obviously wasn’t strong enough. “Max if you’re going to laugh at this situation then you need to let me going so I can go be angry and hurt by myself.” I kept my body straight and rigged as Max nuzzled the back of my neck and placed small kisses.

“I was just laughing about how complicated we are. Have you ever heard of a more complicated couple?” I thought for a second,

“Romeo and Juliet.” I felt Max shake his head,

“They were not complicated; they just had a forbidden love.”

“But forbidden love is complicated… isn’t it?” I ask confused,

“Yes but is it as complicated as two werewolves, distend to be together. The guy werewolf has been an asshole to her basically their whole lives and the girl is to pretty for her own good. The girl always gets in to trouble and gets threatened and the guy can never do anything to stop it.  Think about which one is more complicated?” I giggled at Max for a moment and before leaning against him,

“I never knew you were such a drama queen!” my giggle turned into full on laughter and it didn’t help when Max started tickling me. We stayed like that for a few more minutes laughing and rolling around.

“Autumn you need to finish telling me what happened.” Max gave me a serious look and then we both went to sit back on the bed. I saw the tubes that used to be in Max on the floor and grabbed his arm and was happy to see his marks where almost gone. Playing with his fingers we sat across from each other.

“Okay where was I?”

“You had just been kidnapped.” Max face grew gloomy and I couldn’t help but shudder in memory,

“Right, okay, I had just been pushed in to a van and blacked out, when I woke up I was strapped to a chair with sliver and I realised I couldn’t contact you…” Max interrupted me,

“They used Wolfsbane.” I gave Max a questioning look, “Wolfsbane is a purple flower that is poisonous to wolfs, it can kill you but it small doses it just makes a wolf very confused and basically human.” I gasped,

“Wow, I didn’t even know something like that existed, I thought the only thing that could hurt a wolf was silver.” Max shook his head and rubbed circles in to my palms,

“The only reason that most people don’t know about wolfsbane is because it is really rare and almost impossible to get, the people who do have either pay a small fortune or grow it, but if you grow it there is side effects to your health. But don’t worry about that continue with what you were saying.” I took a deep breath and nodded my head,

“So I was in this dungeon place and then a women in a black cloak came up to me and she…” I didn’t want to tell Max that she hurt me or that I recognised her, it would just make him worry more, “she said that I had to leave in the next two hours or she would use the people she had inside the pack to kill everyone I love.” Max gave me a confused look,

“Why?” he asked, I rolled my eyes,

“I asked but before I could get a response I blacked-out again.” I also didn’t tell Max about my dream, it wasn’t important. “When I woke up I was in my room and there was a note on my bedside table that said, two hours or death, so I did the most logical thing and ran.” Max’s jaw was closed so hard that I thought it would break, he was silent for what felt like hours,

“Logical?...” He gave a humourless laugh, “You thought that was the most logical to do!” Max yelled and got off the bed and threw his hands up in the air, “You think running away was going to solve the problem?!” I gasped,

“How dare you say I ran away I was only trying to protect you!” I felt rage fill my chest along with sadness,

“Oh so what do you call it when someone leaves her pack and mate with a mad women running around?” A tear fall down my cheek but I wasn’t sure whether it was because I was angry or sad.

“I call it being reasonable!” But even as I said this doubt staled into my mind, was I just running away? Was I being a coward?

I fell back down on to the pillow of the bed and stared up at the ceiling I felt Max come and lye next to me, taking my hand. We were silent for a few minutes before I spoke,

“I just- I didn’t know what to do… I was so scared of losing you all. When I came back here after those five years of being away I might have seemed all tough and hard, but the truth is I have more people to lose now than I did before.” I turned on my side to face Max and he did the same, then I continued in a whisper, “and I love you so much sometimes it scares me…” Max placed a hand on my face and I turned to kiss it on the palm before looking back in to those amazing blue eyes,

“I do to and in order for this relationship to work we need to trust each other, and you need to believe that I will be able to look after myself, I am a big boy.” He gave me an a million watt smile and I let out a giggle, “We will kill this Black Clocked Women together and then we will never have to have another secret separating us.”

I smiled and then looked away from his face, no more secrets meant… “Um… Max I have one thing I should probably tell you but you can’t get angry…” Max looked at me and tilted my head so I was looking into his eyes,

“What is it Autumn?” I could tell that he was worried, so I tried to say it as fast as possible,

“um… okay well you know your brother?” Max went still and I continued, “heiskindofworkingfortheblackclockedwomen….” Max didn’t even blink,

“What did you just say?” I grabbed Max’s face in both my hands and said,

“Luke is working for the Black Cloaked Women.”

Yes yes yes I know I am a horrible person because it took me so long to update... but I am on holidays now so hopefully I will be able to update more often! :D
