"You can talk to me about it if you want. You know I'm always here for you." She says.

"It's about a guy."

"Oh sweetie if this is a long story how about we talk about everything this afternoon when I come over?" She speaks.

"Probably for the best." I chuckle.

"I'm back." Josh smiles, he plants a kiss on Alice's lips.

"I'll talk to you two after the play

"I'll talk to you two after the play. Bye!" I say.

"Bye." They say together.

I spot Blake leaning against a wall and make my way over. He seemed different. More mature. It was only that I got closer did I realise what was different. He had his hair styled differently and he had a lip ring and his ears pierced.

He looked really good and it seemed other girls in our grade noticed too as they whispered

He looked really good and it seemed other girls in our grade noticed too as they whispered. As soon as I reached him he pulled me into a tight embrace.

"What's with all the piercings?" I ask.

"Oh Marissa wanted to test out her piercing skills and I was the victim. I like it." He smiles. Marissa is his sister who is a tattoo and piercing expert.

"Well it looks cool."

"Thanks! Oh by the way Chris is over there." He smirks. I look over to see Chris laughing about something Lara said.

"I'm nervous." I say. I look at Chris and he locks eyes with me. He turns to Lara and after exchanging a few words he walks away towards me.

"Hey Rosie." Chris smiles nervously.

"I'm gonna go I'll catch ya at roll call." Blake says. He turns and leaves as girls whisper excitingly.

"When did Blake get all of those piercings?" Chris asks.

"Over the weekend. His sister is quite the artist when it comes to tattoos and she also does piercings. Anyways-"

I get cut off by the bell.

"You were saying?" Chris grins. He takes my hand in his as we walk to roll call.

I like you. God I like you a lot.

"I can't wait for Ethan to get back here so you two can meet Jakob." I smile.

"Yeah me too. By the way is it ok if we sit together at the Grease performance cause well my friends-" he pauses. "Oh who am I kidding I just want to sit with you." He chuckles to himself.

"Sure yeah. Just be prepared if you sit with me Luna and Blake always argue so yeah you have to get used to it. I've kind of always hoped they would date." I admit.

"Yeah they would be cute together." He said as we reached the door to roll call. Everyone was sat in the room already.

I had a choice.

Let go of Chris's hand or not let go of his hand.

I hold it tighter as we walk in. Eyes fall to our joined hands but I wasn't too focused on it as I looked up at Chris.

We sat down next to each other as the teacher called everyone's name in alphabetical order as we heard robotic voices reply. I look around the room to spot Florence in shock at the sight of me and Chris.

Damn it I forget about how she liked him.

But I guess feelings can change in a matter of seconds. Should I say anything to her?

My phone buzzes in my hand and I look at it to see a text from her.

You lied - Florence

I look at her with a frown.

I'm sorry. - R

She rolls her eyes as I see her type.

Whatever -Florence

I felt bad but at the same time I can't control my feelings. Chris is an amazing guy and it was only a matter of time. Chris looks at my phone screen and reads the messages from Florence.

"What's that about?" He asks curiosity rages in his tone.

I wanna tell him but this isn't really the place to say anything.

"I'll tell you at recess." I say. "It's not a conversation to have here." He nods in understanding.

The bell rings and a flood of people walk to their classes, except year 8 who walk to hall for Grease. Chris continues to hold my hand, to be honest I get this rush from it.

I feel like taking a risk and telling him every single detail about me. To tell him all my flaws and insecurities and let him in. I told him about Noah and that means a lot but at the same time I don't trust to easily anymore.

But things change.
