Rose's POV

Thursday.

The day I've been looking foward to and fearing all at once since Chris asked me to hang out with him. I don't think this is a date or anything. I still have to survive a whole day of school. The roll call bell has't even rung yet.

"What's up with you?" Blake asks. "Wait let me guess.... Chris?"

"We're hanging out this afternoon and I'm kind of nervous." I state.

"Is it a date?" Luna asks out of no where.

"I don't think so. I mean he said do you wanna hang out. Does 'hang out' mean date? Blake?" I ask.

"Huh?" Blake looks up from his phone.

"Don't ask him he's never had a relationship before." Luna says.

"Neither have you." Blake glares.

"Oh bite me Blake." Luna says fiercely.

"I would but you forgot your manners." Blake smirks. (A/N tbh I kinda ship Blake and Luna)

"Ok then so-"

"Rose, Hey!" I turn to see Romeo.

"Oh gosh Blake tell him to leave." Luna says.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because he's-"

"Rose." Romeo smiles.

"Hey Romeo." I say. "What's up?"

"Just wanted to say you look really-"

"ROMES!" I recognise the voice as Scott's. Romeo groans.

"Yes Scotty." Romeo speaks. Scott approaches us.

"You know how he feels so don't." Scott speaks softly to Romeo.

"Whatever. I'll talk to you in math Rose." He smiles at me before leaving. He glares at Scott for a second before walking off. Scott smiles politely at me and walks off.

"Damn he's hot." Luna drools.

"And taken." I smirk.

"Of course." She sighs. "all the hot guys are always taken or aren't into girls."

"What about me?" Blake pouts.

"I said hot." Luna says.

-----

"Rose.... Hey wait up!" I hear a pretty unfamilar voice shout from behind me. I turn to see Florence Parish, most popular girl in my year. We haven't spoken in a bout four years. She was so nice so I'm hoping that hasn't changed.

"Uhh... Hi Florence." I smile. "What's up? I hate to sound rude but I have PE now and I'm kind of in a rush."

"Oh this won't take long." She speaks, her tone harsh, shocking me at the change. She seems not so nice anymore. "I don't know why you all of a sudden are best friends with Chris but I suggest you leave him alone."

"I hate to break it to you Florence but I don't see why you need to threaten me to leave Chris alone. First of we are close friends only. Second if he likes you then you shouldn't worry." I state.

"Does he like me?" She sniffles.

"He's never told me. I can ask if you want me to?" I state. She nods.

"I'm sorry if I came of mean it's just that I've liked him forever and I just didn't like the fact you just walked in and you automatically became close." She sighs.

"Chris and I have been friends since we've been in diapers. We just picked off where we left off. I only moved back a year ago." I say.

"I'm sorry." She says.

"It's cool."

Flashback

"Pass the popcorn would ya." I say over the movie. My head rests in his lap as he plays with my hair; a smile on his face.

"mmm..." he hums. I go to get up but he makes me lay down. "I'm comfy." He pouts.

"Food or my boyfriend? Sorry babe... Hello popcorn!" I say. I get up and stuff popcorn in my face. He smirks at me.

"You really can't judge me especially after you fell asleep playing COD." I say.

"That was only because you were telling me about how you and Britney went shopping and she payed over a thousand dollars on shoes." He defends himself.

"Whatever Noah." I smirk. "You love me." I joke.

"Yeah I do." He smiles. I turn my head to see his eyes shining with determination. He begins to lean in as he looks at my lips. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him in. He was not my first kiss but I wanted him to be.

"I love you, Noah." I smile.

"Love you, Shortstack." He kisses my nose.

----

Tears slip out of my eyes as all the memories of Noah Princeton come rushing through my brain. The first guy I loved. I was currently locked in a bathroom stall in the middle of period 4.

My teacher was asking everyone what they want to do in the future and someone said they want to go to Princeton University. I asked the teacher to excuse me to go to the bathroom as I knew I was about to have a panic attack.

I began shaking as soon as the person said that. I started having them after he died. Noah died. I sob into my arms as I sit on the closed toilet. I needed Blake or Luna. I needed Noah. I pull my phone out of my pocket; tears staining the lock screen of Luna, Blake and I at the park.

I begin to calm at the sight of us but I soon remember how Noah never got to meet them. How he won't ever be able to go to a park again. I type in my passcode shakily. I text my group chat with Luna and Blake.

Help PA

PA stood for Panic attack. We made it after my first one at school.

Rosie where are you? Xx ~ C

Did I text Chris?

Girls toliet, 1. I reply, my fingers hitting the wrong keys.

Coming. Xx ~ C

Why would Chris come here to help me?

"ROSIE!" Someone yells. Noah?

"ROSIE! IT'S CHRIS! COME OUT!" He yells. I walk out of the stall, barely. My knees tremble. Chris stood in the entry way. As soon as he caught sight of me he pulls me in for an embrace. I cry into him, letting out all of my pain.

The bell rings.

"Chris." I sniffle. "We need to go."

"I got your bag let's go somewhere more quiet. Oval?" I nod. I text Luna and Blake to meet us there. I think I'm going to tell Chris my Noah story.
