Rose's POV

"huh..."  I mutter as I read through the math excerise.

"Does anyone not understand?" The teacher asks. I was about to raise my hand when I hear a scoff from the back row.

"It's so easy sir." Someone laughs. CURSE THIS PERSON! NOW I'M GONNA LOOK DUMB IF I SAY YES! The class murmers in agreement.

"Alright you can start it now then." He smiles. I sigh. I wonder how I ended up in a class of people who seem to know everything about math. There's no way I'm gonna pass.

After about 15 minutes full of chuckles from the boys in the back rown and girls fixing their hair in the windows the bell rings and I sigh in relief. I pick up my backpack and walk to my spot where I sit at lunch with Blake and Luna.

"Hey Rose!" I turn to see a boy in my math class named Romeo rush up to me with a smirk on his face.

"Hi Romeo..." I say.

"So are you interested in maybe... I don't know going-"

"Romes?" A familar voice sounds from behind me. I turn to see Chris looking at Romeo with a glare. I know for a fact that they are in the same social group but don't really get on that well. They just act friendly.

"Hey Chris! I was just talking to Rose. She's in my math class." Romeo grins at Chris.

"Right well I hate to interrupt but Scott's looking for you at the spot." Chris stares him down.

"Yeah I was gonna head there now. I'll see you in math, Rose." He beams at me. He smirks at Chris as he leaves.

"What's up Chris?" I smile. We begin to walk.

"Not much. I was just thinking about sitting with you and Luna if you don't mind. I'm sick of watching Lara and Scott stare at each other like they want to make out."

"It's fine Chris. Trust me Luna won't object to the attention you bring." I chuckle.

"Attention?" He tilts his head to the side.

"Chris I don't think you realise it but a large majority of the grade want to be friends with you ever since The Voice Kids." I speak.

"Yeah I know it was different when I got back. I wasn't known one day and the next I have about twenty girls ask me out and 20 guys ask me if I wanted to sit at their spot during lunch." Chris sighs. "To be honest sometimes I feel like I only have a few true friends out of the group of twenty. It's only been like a couple months since it finished."

"Well just know I'm not using you for your Voice Kids fame." I smirk. He bursts into laughter causing a lot of stares and whispers. Honestly I couldn't care less. Let them stare.

"Did you watch?" Chris asks.

"Did I watch?" I gasp overdramatically. Chris chuckles. "I was your biggest fan. I started the Chris Lanzon fan club. To be honest I've been club president since we were six." I fake fangirl. He laughs.

"Really now? Who are the other members?" Chris smirks as he wraps and arm around my shoulder and pulls me closer.

"It never reached the public sadly." I sigh. "didn't want anyone else to try to steal you." I smirk.

"Makes sense." Chris giggles. I see Luna and Blake throwing mini oreos at each other from where we were.

"So the reason why I asked was because this other contestant, Ethan, and I are meeting on Friday to record some covers for my YouTube channel." Chris explains.

"That sounds cool."

We approach the spot from behind Luna. Blake throws an oreo and completely misses her. Chris catches it with his other arm still draped around my shoulder, "Care for a mini oreo?"

"All good Chris." I smile. Luna turns to us and gasps softly to herself.

"Chris I'm gonna need to steal Rose real quick." She smiles as she grabs me.

"Alright." Chris says as he drops his bag on the table and begins to talk to Blake.

"WH-what even?" She says.

"What's up?" I question.

"Are you and Chris dating because I've been hearing rumors all morning?" She asks. Rumours?

"No we aren't. What do you mean by rumours?" I ask.

"Well Kristy told Laura who's friends with Florence who apparently told Marcus that he saw you and Chris were hanging out yesterday at Lois shops and that he walked you home. Then today Ruby saw you talking to Romeo after math and that apparently Matt overheard him about to ask you out before Chris interrupted. And Lisa came over told everyone that she saw you and Chris flirting on the way here." Luna explains. "There's also a rumour that you are using Chris for future fame."

"Well all of that's true except the last one." I say. "But we're not dating. Just great friends."

"Explain to me why he had his arm wrapped around your shoulder and why you were so close to each other nad why he stares at you like you are the most beautiful thing in the world. He's even doing it now." She says.

I look over at Chris who's beaming up at me and notices that I've caught him staring so sends me a wave which I return.

"I have no clue Luna." I look to her. "But I want to find out."

-----

"Heads." I smirk as I kick a soccer ball towards Jakob's head. He does a header back to me and soon we are having a header off.

"Give up?" Jakob smirks. After our 20th header.

"No. Why do you want to?" I ask.

"Nope." He sighs as he misses the ball with his head.

"What's up Jake?" I ask.

"Nothing." He mutters.

"Jake?" He sighs.

"I have no clue what I want to do." Jake speaks.

"Jakob you're fourteen." I say.

"I know but ever since I was little I've always wanted to be a famous soccer player but now I think I want to do something else." Jake says.

"And what would that be?" I ask.

"A singer."
