"Ha! She cant even do anything about it!"

I was only 7 and most of the kids bullied me. They would shove me, kick me, call me horrible names. Or in this case, push me off the swings.

I could feel the fire build up inside me.

I wasn't gonna let play me this way. See me hurt for their intertainment.

"STOP!"

I yelled so loud and so fierce they backed away. I stood up. I could feel the fire in my eyes staring them down.

They will pay. Each and every one of them.

(6 years later)

"Hey. What happened to the sweet Flair I used to know? The one who put a smile on her face even when she was bullied. The one who was always helpful and-"

"You don't get it Jake. You never do. That Flair has been buried deep inside me, and she won't reveal herself anymore."

Jake was my best friend. He always loved to see my power, but he was scared every time I got into a fight cause he knew I couldn't control the heat within me.

"I know, but why wont-"

"Drop it Jake!"

I had such a short temper, and Jake knew, but he was still my best friend.

He was silent for a bit, until he finally broke it.

"Any new tricks lately?"

I knew what he was talking about.

"Of course"

We ran out into a meadow, where we always met up at.

I had targets around the meadow that Jake helped me fix.

"Counting stars!"

It was one of my many tasks we made up to help me control and learn my power.

Counting stars was like clay shooting but the difference was, Jake would throw a frizbee in the air and I shot at it and set it to flames like a shooting star, and he would count how many I actually hit.

He threw one up about 20 feet into the air and I hit it perfectly.

"One! . Two! . . . Five!"

"Jake! Jake!"

He wasn't looking and the frizbee came back down and hit his head.

I ran to him, dumped the pail of water on him to make sure no fire had caught him.

That's when I heard the siren of the battle.

"Jake please get up!! Jake!!"

He wouldn't budge, but he was still breathing.

I quickly picked him up and ran back to town.

"Run! Hide in your houses!! Now!!"

I quickly ran into my house and into my room. I layed Jake on my bed as I got the ice pack. My mother rushed in.

"Flair what happened?!"

"Nothing mother!"

She quickly ran to my brothers room where he started crying.

"Jake. You're gonna be ok. You're gonna be ok."

(3 years later)

"Hey Flair!"

Jake.

"H.. hey Jake."

"Your mother told me about the Sweet 16 your having this weekend. She invited me!"
