My Chemical Reactions

You sit there

I walk by

You walk by

I sit there

I enter the e-lab

You're already there

I take a break

You're on the go

You sneak a peek over the monitor

I hide behind my screen

You avoid my eyesight

I mimic your action

I do a last minute assignment

You click, click, and click on the mouse

I busy myself with my Android

You're busy talking to your buddy

You cough at odd times

I wonder why I'm shaking

You walk at a constant pace but

I don't see your face

I dislike this rare feeling, this is the first time

You've made me feel this way

I see you go

Your back's image is recorded

You move around the e-lab, trying to log in

I can't stop shaking

You're here one moment

I am gone the next

I can't wait to exit this room

You give up and walk out

I see you again

You make me forget my guilt

You don't see what you've done to me

I can't take this feeling anymore

You walk to the dorm unconscious

I glance once, twice, three times

I'm freakishly shaking but it goes unnoticed

You're in a group laughing; joking is what you do best

I've made rules, I've broken them

You're why I make rules

Your voice fades in the wind and I remember

I've left my flash drive in the e-lab

You walk towards your destination, buddy by your side

I give three glances, others also admire you

The feeling is sometimes overwhelming

I think I am falling

Gravity pulls me towards the unknown

The unknown of my chemical reactions
