Emily's POV:
The shock of loosing my best friend is still raw, even though it happened nine months ago now. I guess I didn't technically loose Clarke, and I can still see her on visiting day, but it isn't the same. We used to be together all the time, whether it was at school training to be doctors, or because both our parents were on the council, we we're always inseparable. Now things have changed, and I'm stuck with all the other girls my age on this station, all obsessed with clothes and makeup and boys. Reading has been my escape to the trapped and limited life on the ark, for in reading you can go anywhere and see anything in the whole universe! Suddenly though, soldiers stream into my room, two grabbing my arm and one pointing their weapon at me.
"What the hell is going on?" I ask calmly, as they lead me out of my room, along a passage way, as people stare and mutter, all wondering what the goody two shoes could have done to get herself in trouble. I'm wondering that as well. A strand of my long blonde hair gets stuck in a gun, however the guard just rips it out, making we wince with pain. We finally reach the sky box, a jail for juvenile offenders, when I'm shoved into an empty cell.
"Emily Steeple, you're under arrest for medical drug theft." With that they leave me alone in a dark cramped cell, just me and my imagination, wondering what or who could ever get me into this mess.
