It's the first week of the summer holidays. You're 21 and are going to begin your final year of uni after the holidays to study English and music.

It's a Saturday night and you're in a hotel room in London getting ready for a concert with your best friend Ally. She's 22 and goes to the same university as you to study English and photography.

"I can't wait to see Brendon Urie live!" Ally exclaims as she picks a short red dress from her suitcase.

"You've said that so many times." You laugh as you open your suitcase.

"Well I am! You know how much I love him! And I know how much you love Panic! At the disco!"

"True. But you do realise that's just basically Brendon Urie yeh?" You search through your suitcase trying to find your outfit.

"Aha! So you admit that you love Brendon Urie too!"

"Who couldn't?" You giggle as you take out a F/C dress and Galaxy/black tights and go to get changed in the bathroom.

After getting changed, you curl/straighten your H/C locks then put on your makeup, making sure to add extra eyeliner. You feel like you need to look good for this. Ally says that you should treat it like a special event. Because it is.

You and Ally take a taxi to the concert. Ally's blonde hair is straightened instead of being in its usual messy waves.

The two of you arrive in time to get a decent place to stand, then the concert begins.

............................

It's around half way through the concert. You and Ally are dancing and lip syncing the words to Death of a Bachelor when you spin around and freeze. You've locked eyes with a pair of shining brown ones. Your entire world feels like it's in slow motion.
All the cheering and chattering of people is blocked out of your mind, all you hear is Brendon Urie's singing.

I'm walking the long road
Watching the sky fall

You examine the body attached to the gorgeous brown eyes. The boy is tall. He has a brown fringe that sweeps to the left of his pale face. He's dressed in all black.

How do I liiiive
The death of a bachelor.
Oh oh oh
Letting the water fall

Suddenly, Ally snaps you out of the trance by spinning you round to face her.

"Y/N! WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?" She yells, but it sounds like a whisper to you due to the music.

You glance back at the boy who's now watching the stage again. Ally follows your gaze and smirks.

"TALK TO HIM!"
"NO! HOW AM I MEANT TO START A CONVERSATION WITH HIM? WHAT IF I MESS UP? WHAT IF A LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT? I DONT WANT TO BE DISRESPECTFUL-" you're cut off by Ally pushing you into the boy. He catches you in his arms. He looks down at you. You look back up at him.

Happily ever after
Oooooh
How can I ask for more?
Lifetime of laughter
At the expense of the death of a bachelor.

As the song ends, he smiles down at you.
You smile back at him and stand up again.

"S-Sorry..." You look down at your feet.
"It's okay. It's not everyday that a pretty girl falls into my arms."
This shocks you. No one has called you pretty in years, except for Ally of course.

You smile down at your feet.
"I'm Dan. What's your name?" The boy stretches out his arm to shake your hand.
"I'm Y/N." You return the hand shake.
Dan smiles. "Your names almost as pretty as you." He mumbles, but you're just able to make out what he said.

You feel a red blush creeping onto your cheeks.

You notice Dan's eyes widen and his face going red, clearly realising that you've heard what he just said. He looks down at his feet, bites his lip, then looks back up at you.

"So... Are you enjoying the concert?" He asks.

"Yeah. It's the first time I've seen a concert in years." You explain.

"Really?" Dan gasps.

"Yup." You nod your head, beginning to relax again.

You and Dan talk and listen to the music for the rest of the concert. You find out that he lives here in London. You've always thought London would be a great place to live. You live in a flat in Manchester with Ally.

"Oh, I went to university in Manchester. Well, more of dropped out of university there..." Dan smiles as he sips his drink.

"I go to university there now!" You laugh slightly. "I live in a flat with my friend Ally over there." You point to Ally who seems to be dancing with some girl.

"Cool, when I moved there I lived with my friend Phil over there." Dan explains, pointing to a boy around his height with almost translucent skin and dark black hair. The boy is watching the stage with two other boys that you can't see that well.
"I still do live with him."

"Cool."

You also see his poor attempt at dancing.

"I've never seen a more white dancer in my life

"I've never seen a more white dancer in my life." You giggle.

Soon, the concert ends. Just as you're on your way out, Dan hands you a slip of paper, smiles at you, then heads off with Phil and the other two boys.

"There you are, Y/N! How'd it go with the boy?" Ally jumps on you.

"It went alright. He gave me this note." You say as the two of you get into a taxi.

You open the note and it reads;

Dan's number:

*insert number here that I can't be arsed making up*

Hmu.

You smile and fold the note back into your pocket.
