Chapter 8

Kyra awoke that morning and saw Shadow's arms wrapped around her.

"I KNEW IIIIITTTTTT!" Kyra thought

She carefully turned over to her other side to face Shadow, and looked up at him.

"Aww, he's so cute when he's sleepin'." Kyra thought

Not wanting to awaken him, Kyra closed her eyes and tried to go back to sleep. But there was one thing stopping her from falling asleep, Kyra looked at Shadow. She had the sudden urge to hold Shadow, so she did. Then Kyra fell asleep. Shadow looked down at Kyra, then he smiled which is pretty rare for him. But when he was holding Kyra, that's all he wanted to do forever and ever. Smile and hold her close. Kyra awoke once more and looked up at Shadow.

"Good mornin'." said Kyra in a friendly mannor

"Good morning to you too." Shadow responded

They lied there on the bed snuggling for about an hour or so, then Kyra spoke.

"Do you want me to make you breakfast?"

Shadow's stomach churned as if to say "No! No more food!".

"No thanks, I'm good." Shadow responded

"Okay, if you say so." Kyra replied

The two cuddled together in silence, both of them were confused as to why. But they didn't really care.

"What is this warm and fuzzy feeling inside me? Why is my heart beat increasing?" Shadow inquired in his head

"It's love." Something whispered

Shadow smiled at the mere utter of the phrase.

"Love." Shadow repeated in his head

Shadow looked down at Kyra and his heartbeat increased and the fuzzy feeling grew stronger.

"I love her." Shadow concluded in his head

The two snuggled in silence for a long time, neither of them wanted to break away from the other. So they didn't.

Meanwhile, Kali looked up at Manic who was fast asleep. She smiled, then held Manic closer. Manic smiled, then he opened his eyes and looked down at Kali.

"Good morning." said Kali with a smile

"Good morning to you too sweetheart." Manic replied

Kali blushed, Manic did as well. They stared into one another's eyes for what felt like forever. Then Kali kissed Manic and he kissed her back, they shared a long, slow kiss then ended it.

"I love you." Kali said

"I love you too Kali." Manic responded

The two lied there holding one another and snuggling. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Kali got up to answer the door, when she opened it she saw Silver with a black eye and a bloody nose.

"Oh my gosh! What happened to you?!" Kali exclaimed

"Long story, do you have any tissues and some frozen ice packs?" Silver inquired

Kali quickly got Silver an ice pack and a tissue, Manic came downstairs and gasped when he saw Silver.

"Dude! What happened?!" Manic questioned in a worried demeanor

"All I can say is, never make Charmy mad. You will be sorry." Silver replied

Kali held an ice pack up to Silver's eye as he held the tissue up to his nose, as she did so Kali rubbed Silver's back comfortingly. Silver smiled.

"Thanks Kali." said Silver

"Anything for a friend." Kali replied with a smile

Manic sat on the other side of Silver and looked over at him.

"You think you're gonna be okay?" Manic questioned

"My face is numb, but I think I'll be alright." Silver responded

"Maybe Blaze should wrap you in some bubble wrap to keep you safe." Kali added with a chuckle

Silver rolled his eyes, and Manic chuckled.

"Say Silver, have you and Blaze ever gone out on a date?" asked Kali

"Oh yeah, many times. We were going to go out today but, I don't think I should go anywhere. I barely made it here without walking into a tree or two, and, maybe a rosebush..." Silver replied

Silver showed Kali some deep wounds that were from a rosebush, Kali gasped and went to get some disinfectant and bandages. When she came back she put some disinfectant on the wounds, Silver cringed.

"I know, it doesn't feel very good. But would you rather be in pain or get a crippling disease?" Kali stated in a questioning manor

"I'd rather be in pain." Silver responded

"It was rhetorical question." Manic added

"Oh." Silver replied

Kali chuckled a little as she put the bandages on Silver's wounds, once she was finished she gave Silver a light hug. He smiled, soon Manic joined in on the light hug.

"Thanks Manic and Kali." said Silver

"You're welcome." Kali and Manic replied with a smile

Suddenly, there was another knock on the door. Kali got up and opened the door to see Blaze standing on the front step.

"Hey, is Silver here?" Blaze inquired

"I'm here baby." Silver called out

Blaze walked over to Silver and gave him a light hug, Kali let Blaze stay and shut the door. Manic got up and walked into the kitchen to look for something to eat.

"I guess we can't go anywhere huh?" Blaze stated in an inquisitive manor

"Yeah." Silver sighed "Sorry sweetie."

"No, you're alright." Blaze responded

"Do you guys want anything?" Manic called out from the kitchen

Kali's stomach growled, she chuckled then called out to Manic.

"Yeah, I'll take an omelet!"

Blaze looked at Silver and gently kissed him on the cheek. Silver smiled.

"I love you Blazikins." said Silver in a lovey-dovey voice

"I love you too Silvy." Blaze replied

Kali walked into the kitchen and saw Manic making that omelet she had asked for, she smiled and grabbed two plates from the cabinet.

"Why are you getting two plates?" asked Manic

"For the two of us silly!" Kali responded

"Oh, okay." Manic replied with a smile

Once the omelet was finished, Kali cut it in half and gave one half to Manic and ate the other half. After they finished, Kali put the dishes in the sink and began to walk out of the kitchen.

"Kali?" asked Manic before she walked out of the kitchen

"Yes dear?" Kali replied

Manic got up and kissed Kali, and she kissed him back. When they finished the two walked back out into the living room and talked with Silver and Blaze.
