As Megan took Christian from Rachel she heard Haley start crying so she asked Rachel if she would help her get set up to feed both of them and she said yes so Megan got the boppy pillow out of the other crib then sat in the rocker, put the boppy pillow around her and got Christian started. Once she was set up she asked Rachel to hold her in place and she did then Megan got Haley set and Megan put her arms around both of them. Rachel sat in the other rocker and they talked while the twins were eating then when they were done Rachel helped her change them, took them to the front room and laid them on their activity mats. Megan and Josephgot down on the floor and played with them as they talked to theirparents. "Where are Dad and Tim? Making breakfast?" Megan asked. "Yes and the older kids are already up and playing games in the room" Kristen said. They continued to talk as Megan and Joseph played with the twins for about half an hour then Tim came in and said, "Breakfast's ready."
They all headed to the kitchen, sat down and ate. When they were done they cleared the table then the moms kicked everyone out and did the dishes. Everyone else went back to the front room and the dads got on the floor with the twins. About ten minutes later Megan looked at Joseph and asked, "Why don't we give the twins their baths as soon as the moms are done?" "Okay. I'll go get everything set up inthe kitchen as soon as they're done" Joseph said. When Rachel and Kristen joined them Joseph got up and went to the twins' room.
He got out the infant bathtub, picked out their clothes, set them and a diaper on each changing table and got towels out of the bottom drawer where the towels and receiving blankets were then took the bathtub, towels and two baby washcloths to the kitchen then set it up, got out the baby wash and set the bathtub in the sink and everything elsenext to the sink. He went to get Christian, took him to the kitchen started the water and stripped him down to his diaper. He set him in the tub and put one of the washcloths over his private area so he wouldn't get peed on and used a cup to wet Christian's body and hair.
He finally stopped screaming every time water got in his face about a week or two after his first bath. Joseph put the baby wash on the other washcloth and started washing him up. Once he was washed up Joseph turned the water on to get it to the right temperature and pulled the plug on the tub so the soapy water could drain then rinsed him off using the hose attached to the sink. Once he was rinsed he picked him up in his blue hooded towel and wrapped him up then tookhim to his room, laid him on the changing table, dried him off better and got his diaper on him. As he was doing that he called to Megan that she could start Haley's bath and finished dressing Christian.
Once he was dressed Joseph grabbed his and Haley's heavy blankets, set them in Christian's car seat, took the car seat and headed for the living room. When they got out there Joseph set the seat down out of the way and laid Christian on his tummy on his mat then the parents got into an argument about who's turn it was to play with him. Joseph said he'd be right back and went to the kitchen as Megan was just wrapping Haley's towel around her so he walked with them to the twins' room and talked to Megan while she got Haley dried and dressed. When she was dressed and ready Megan and Joseph took her back to the front room and laid her on her tummy on her mat.
Megan and Joseph went and cuddled up in their chair and talked to the parents for a while then Rachel and Jason went to take their showers in the two spare bathrooms then as soon as they were done Kristen and Tim did the same. Once Rachel had her makeup on and hair done shewent to help Katie and Jacob get dressed. When Jason then Kristen then Tim came out they sat down and played with the twins as Meganand Joseph sat cuddled up together in their chair. About twenty minutes later Rachel came out and said, "Katie and Jacob are done and back in the room and David got in about five minutes ago."
