The next morning I woke up bright and early, ready to go to the Academy. I got all my stuff together, which wasn't much. My mom was going to have to drive me to the airport, but after that I was on my own. My mom and I were silent most of the ride, but when I was about to leave, she got me in a full hug and started to cry.

(Pretend like he is talking in Russian, I'm too lazy to use google translate or whatever) "Mama, it will be fine. I will make sure to send you some pictures of whatewver we are doing on the ships. Ok?" I cooed her.

She just nodded and let me out. I got onto the plane and flew away, letting my world fade behind me. All that mattered now was Star-Fleet.

---Time skip 3 years---

Your POV:

"No, dad, I won't be sleeping with boys every other night....yes...ok bye..." You hung up the phone with your dad. You rolled your eyes. He didn't know one thing about Star-Fleet! You can't exactly go sleeping with everyone...unless your name was James T. Kirk. He apparently was the play-boy around campus, but you payed no attention to him. Tomorrow you all were getting assigned to your ships, and you couldn't be more excited. Pavel was no more than a dust speck in your mind, with all the Xenolanguistic knowledge in your head, but there non the less. You couldn't wait so you started to text your friend about what ship you were going to get on.

You set your PADD down and get ready to wake up early to get to the hangars. You said your prayers then went off to sleep.

-The next morning-

You rushed out of bed and went to the bathroom. You had woken up 10 minutes later than when you were supposed to, and so you had thought you had missed the ship placement or something. When you finally looked at your clock, you rolled your eyes when you only saw it was 10 minutes after your alarm was supposed to go off. So you just got ready like usual and started to walk down your dorm hallway. You met up with your friend Emma on the way.

"I can't wait!" She said, unable to control her excitement.

You laughed. "Wanna listen to the song then?" You asked, pulling out your PADD.

"Of course!"

You pushed a few buttons and got your favorite song I'm So Excited on and you two sang as you both went down to the hangers. When you got down there, you put your PADD away and put on a straight face.

When you got to your group you were waiting for them to call of your name eagerly. They went through a couple names, then finally called yours.

"Ensign (y/f/n) (y/l/n) assigned to Starship Enterprise. That is all, go meet your ship crew. Good luck."

You wanted to jump up and down to show your excitement but didn't want to seem auteur. You swiftly rushed over to where some of the new Enterprise crew was standing and talking. You go right over and find your friend. "Hey, Sam!" You yell.

"Hey, (y/n)! What's new?" Sam replies, and waves you over.

"(y/n)?"

You look around to see who was talking. It was a boy, looked about your age. "Yeah. What's yours?" You held out your hand for him to shake it.

"My name....is Pavel Chekov."

You froze and your eyes widened. Soon they were filled with happy tears. "P-pasha? Is it really you?"

He nodded. Then he held your hand. "I told you I'd love you forever. I knew I would see you someday."

You full on hugged him, and started to happily cry on his shoulder. You were both laughing the whole time and Pavel swung you around a couple times. "Pasha, can I tell you something before we start catching up on the last 12 years of our lives?"

"Sure."

You sighed with relief. "I. Love. You."
