Corrupted Zane's POV
(Y/n) had her sword pointed at my heart, ready to fight. She hesitated before hitting. I didn't move. I wanted to see what she would do. I watched as she pressed the tip of the sword against my chest, pondering whether to wound me. She accidentally pierced my skin, resulting in a small trickle of black blood. Her eyes followed the trail of blood, watching it pool down my leg. Her eyes hardened and she pulled the sword away. I smirked knowingly.
"So you can't even kill an opponent. Typical weakling."
Those cold words fueled her pain. She turned and slashed my arm, resulting in a new wave of blood. I turned, surprised, before gaining a new fighting stance.
My sword split into two blades, an army of shadows appeared behind me, and my eyes...they glowed with even more power than before.
I ran at her, she prepared her stance-
I swerved at the last moment and ran towards the others. (Y/n)'s eyes widened as she realized what I was about to do. I charged for Aphmau, sword pointed at her wings. I slashed a hole through them, satisfied, but it faded when they grew back, stranger than before. Aphmau was now glowing white, FULLY white. For a moment my weak side threatened to show, but I held him back. I was doing little high schooler a favor. I stepped back and watched as she flew into the air, stronger than before. I watched her wings beat, slowly...a little faster...even faster...when I remembered something. (Y/n) had wings too!
I turned at the last moment, muttering "crap" under my breath, but she was up in the air. Her demon wings were aflutter, beat in sync with Aphmau's. They both hovered next to each other, devising a plan that couldn't be heard.
Seeing something happening above me with no way to get to it?
You. Did. Not. Go. There.
I aimed for the others in the group, Garroth, Vlad, and Katelyn. I used my sword to pull off Katelyn's knuckle guards, leaving her weaponless. She was still too weak to get up, so I saw this my chance. I calmly stabbed my sword into each of her knees, the result being broken bones. I could practically hear the crack of each bone as the sword went through it.
I nodded and turned toward Vlad. His Shadow Knight form had worn off now, leaving a ragged and tattered young boy. He looked beat.
Fortunately for me, I had no heart.
I approached his body, looking at him intently. He managed to look up, and that's when I was able to see his eyes. They were glazed over, tired, and scared. I only smiled softly at him as I raised my sword. He opened his mouth to scream, but nothing came out. I lowered my sword and instead took my boot. I stepped on top of his head, slamming it down on the concrete. I definitely heard the sound of a crack. I smirked. Maybe he had broken his jaw.
I turned and focused my attention on Garroth. I stopped in front of his feet, eying him down. For a moment my eyes softened, but old Zane quickly disappeared again. "You failed, brother." I snarled, watching his face. "I'm going to kill you now."
"Z-Zane..." Garroth wheezed. "This isn't you! Please, snap back to your old self!"
"Old...self?" I questioned. "What old self?"
Garroth's eyes widened with understanding. "This is you now...isn't it?"
I sneered as a response. Garroth nodded his head slowly and crumpled to the ground.
"Zane. Do what you must."
I felt my eyes flare with excitement. The best deaths were the ones where your victim was too weak to fight. He had just given up. This gave me the glory of watching him die in pain, defeated and battered. I raised my sword above his neck, point accurately pointed. "As you wish." I brought the sword down to end his pitiful life, stopping right before it hit. He looked up at the small trickle of blood cascading down his back. "Oh, and just before you die...I will personally see to it that your other...allies...wish they were dead. Such as you." Garroth let out one final depressed cry before his throat was cut. He would never utter another word again.
I turned, satisfied, to find a sword in my nose. I let out a screech of rage and pulled it out. There was now a bloodfall where my nose used to be. I turned, outraged, before realizing my mistake. Aphmau and (Y/n) were still raring and ready to fight. A little ruffle to the wings didn't do much. I raised my swords, aiming each at a weak point. Aphmau dropped to the ground, avoiding her blade, and (Y/n) did the same. Aphmau advanced on me, making me back up. I accidentally dropped my swords, resulting in each one going to a girl. I was helpless.
Then, I remembered something.
My army of shadows! They were waiting for my word. I turned and faced the empty, black army of souls, ready for battle. I nodded at them and screamed, "ATTACK!"
With a bloodthirsty roar, they advanced, fighting the two girls. Aphmau and (Y/n) had no choice but to kill. Shadows could climb walls, you know. Aphmau was busy with a horde of shadows, working to wipe them out. The rest of the shadows went for (Y/n). In a way, Aphmau and (Y/n) were the leaders of good and evil.
Aphmau was an angel, or Lady Irene.
(Y/n) was part demon, even though she wasn't evil at all.
Working together, good and evil could create a new side.
Evod.
It was my duty to prevent Evod, and lead the Jury Of Nine to new justice.
Evil won't be fooled by it's good leader.
Evil will have a new ruler.
And that ruler.
Will.
Be.
ME!
