"You can do it, Mari."

Y/N quietly whispered and soothingly rubbed her friend's shaking shoulders.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng, one of her good friends, was hiding behind a stone wall outside of the Françoise Dupont school building. Once again she felt too shy to talk to her crush, with whom she'd secretly been in love with for some time now.

Even if she often, thanks to Alya and
Y/N's encouragement, managed to stand in front of her dream boy, only half-finished and mixed up sentences came out of her mouth, ruining her built-up courage all over again.

"Come on, Marinette. Today you'll talk to him- there's nothing to be afraid of!" Alya convincingly said and pulled the blue-haired girl up from her crouching position. Y/N nodded reassuringly , agreeing with her other friend. Marinette sighed and was about to protest, but was stopped by Alya.

"You know when he's going to show up?" The girl with the reddish-brown hair asked, wanting to plan the encounter of Mari and her crush perfectly. Marinette, knowing the time by heart, immediately answered after taking a short glance at Y/N's wrist, which was adorned with an old looking watch.

"In exactly fifty-six seconds."
The blue-eyed girl stated confidently, before returning to her awkward, shy self and nervously clutched her hands together.

"Okay girl, that's still enough time for you to calm down, 'kay?"

Y/N thought back to the huge poster hung up in Marinette's room with his timetable and all activities- even the exact time and place- and chuckled. Even if her friend was pretty serious when it came to her crush, knowing whenever and wherever he was, Y/N found it oddly cute how much Marinette wanted to impress him so badly.

The moment she was interrupted in her thoughts by Marinette's sharp intake of air she knew that he could not be far.

And right she was.

There he was- Adrien Agreste.
The boy with the striking green eyes and sun-kissed hair that always seemed to bounce a little with every step.

The one boy who was the cause of many sleepless sleepovers and never ending calls, because of Marinette's long rambling on how perfect and kind he was.
Even though Y/N remembered the dark circles beneath her eyes the next day she still took it with lots of humor. Her friend was obviously smitten with her classmate and needed help.
Help that Alya and her would gladly provide for their best friend.

So being the good friends they were they both took ahold of Mari's arms and pulled her along, walking to their target. Adrien, with his friend Nino in tow, was just walking up the stairs towards the school entrance when Alya called his name.

"Hey, Adrien!"

The boy turned around and smiled at the trio, which had now arrived at their destination. Y/N could feel Marinette tensing up and squeezed her hand reassuringly.

"Nino." Alya enthusiastically greeted and nodded at him with a smile playing on her lips. The boy with the dark glasses and signature red cap greeted her with a similar smile.

"Hey Alya, Marinette."
He greeted them with a closed eye smile. Marinette, now being the one clutching to Y/N's hand, managed to shakily smile and nod.
Y/N could perfectly imagine Marinette's ovaries fully imploding right now, her heart melting like chocolate in the sun.

"Y/N." Adrien acknowledged and turned to her. Said girl returned the warm smile and connected her eyes with his sparkling ones.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed Alya pinching the blue-eyed girl's shoulder, motioning towards Adrien with her head.
Inwardly Y/N grinned. Now was the perfect time for Marinette to strike up a conversation and talk to her crush.

"Have the news seen you?"
