What I Want

For once I want a quick change.
Like those in school plays.
Where we go backstage,
To change our face.

I want a guy to make me see
That love can really,
Actually,
Find me.

And I want him to say
Through night and day
That he won't leave me astray,
And won't keep his demons at bay.

I want trust to be our heartbeat,
Warming our hearts like sunbeams
Even when the snow is thick,
It will seep through the frozen concretes.

I want him to see me
So perfectly
Even if I'm actually,
A walking tragedy.
