Where do I begin? I've never written before, but now it seems like the right thing to do. He gave me this, this little pink typewriter. It was his grandmother's and he wanted me to have it, so how could I refuse? The answer is I couldn't, it's the s...
Coffee went so well that Jacob had asked me out for dinner and, if things went well, a movie. I knew things would go well though, I was absolutely smitten. He was a perfect gentleman and his sense of humor was refreshing and contagious. Not to mention he was gorgeous.
Finally a good looking guy that wasn't a complete ass and actually had a good grasp on reality, he wasn't cocky or unemployed, he loved his family and was smart. Jacob had the whole package and I wasn't about to walk away from a guy like him.
I was twenty three at the time and had only one serious boyfriend up until that point. I wasn't desperate, but I was craving for a man's attention. I missed the feeling of having a man in my life, I missed waking up in a strong pair of arms, I missed the giddy feeling of going out on dates. Most of all I missed feeling loved by someone that wasn't my sister.

"Pick you up at six?" Jacob asks
I smile "six sounds perfect, see you then" I'm about to walk away but he gently grabs my hand
"Are you sure you don't want me to walk you home?"
The offer warms my heart and I actually would like it if Jacob walked me home, but I don't want things to go too fast.
"My apartment is only a block away, I'll be okay. Thank you though, it was very sweet of you to offer"
He nods and lets my hand go reluctantly "alright, see you soon Ana"
"Bye" I say, waving slightly, trying not to embarrass myself.
The walk home didn't take too long, as expected. I grab my keys out of my purse and go to unlock my front door. My hand freezes in place once the door opens, it was already unlocked... My heart plummets into my stomach, fear begins to rapidly spread throughout my body.
I always lock my front door, always. There is no way I forgot. Stepping away from my apartment, I take a moment to try and figure out what I should do. Do I call the police? Did I just forget to lock it?
A loud thud sounds from inside and I have to stop myself from screaming. Hastily I grab my phone and call 911.
"911 what's your emergency"
"There is someone in m-my h-house" I stutter
"Okay ma'am are you in the house?"
"N-no, I came home and my door was unlocked, I heard noises coming from inside"
"Ma'am stay outside, I'll send two cars there now"
I sigh in relief "thank you"
