Taking notes

There was a fresh sheet of snow on the ground in Death City. The meisters and weapon sat patiently in the EAT class, waiting for their professor. A certain meister, by the name of Maka, was copying their lesson plan that was on the board into a black leather journal she used as a planner.

 She took a break from writing to look at her weapon partner, Soul, started to drift off to sleep, along with his best friend who was a meister, Black★Star. Beside Black★Star's side, his weapon, named Tsubaki, was a tall and had raven hair was doodling on notebook paper. In Front of Maka was Lord Death's son, Death the Kidd. On both his sides were is weapon partners, Liz and Patty. She couldn't see what he or the sisters were doing so she went back to writing in the assignment.

After a few minutes the doors swung open to reveal a sliver haired man, their professor. Maka put away her journal and began to listen to what he had to say.

The class was over with and people began to leave the room to go home. Maka stayed behind to take some extra notes. When she thought she was the only one a voice came up from behind her. "May I sit next to you?"

Maka's heart jumped a little, as she was startled by the voice, but turned around to find Kidd. Maka nodded and went back to copying notes from her textbook. Kidd sat down and pulled out a textbook from his bag, mind you, a very symmetrical bag, and opened it to the page where he had to take notes. 

He glanced at Maka, she looked really focused on what she was writing down. Kidd couldn't help but chuckle. "What's funny Kidd?" Maka asked concerningly. Kidd blushed and look down to hide it. "I just remembered something funny I overheard yesterday."

Maka gave a small smile and went back to her note-taking. Kidd had a small crush on her but didn't want to be rejected by her. He would hate to ruin their friendship over a stupid crush he had. Kidd went back to taking notes.

It had been a couple minutes and the heater turned off. Lord Death always made sure that one teacher shut down the heat or AC so the bill wasn't that high at the end of each month. Maka started shivering and sneezed softly. Kidd noted her sneeze sounded like a kitten. He tried to think of a way to help her stay warm without making her uncomfortable. 

Wait I will hand Maka my coat. Kidd took of his symmetrical blazer he always has on and draped it over Maka's shoulders. He could see her cheeks tinted a rosy pink. "Better?" he asked to see if she wasn't as cold anymore.

She blushed a bit but smiled "Thanks, Kidd." She pulled him into a hug. Kidd gasped at the sudden hug but wrapped his arms around the petite, meister. 

After a minute or two they broke the hug. Both of them were blushing madly. It was silent for a couple seconds then Kidd spoke up. "We should get going. It's... getting late."

Maka was holding onto the jacket that Kidd had let her borrow to keep warm. "Yeah." Maka gave a small smile and started to put her notes and textbook in her bag, Kidd did the same. Maka gave Kidd's jacket back and started to speak. "Maybe we can take notes together again, I get more done than when i'm with Soul. He just sleeps and goes off to play video games and does nothing." She gave a small giggle.

"I would love to, Maka." Kidd smiled in return and watched her walk outside the classroom Inside his mind he did a little victory dance. Now I get to see Maka more often! Maybe we can become closer friends.
