It's eat or be eaten

Keep running, just keep running, don't stop. All that repeated in your head, those same words. Nothing else, if you stopped for a second, you were doomed. Everyone was so hungry, you thought you could help, but how when you're considered a meal?

You heard the forest, the growls from inside. Flowey warned you to be still when the forest called out to you. Don't move a muscle, don't breathe. Just do what you can to survive. You dropped to your knees. Hoping that would help you stay still the most effective way.

Your hands burned, the cold snow dyed red from blood. Melting on your stubs, he cut off your fingers. From your middle to your pinkie on your right hand, gone. You wanted to help everyone, but they're just so hungry. They tried so hard to be good but how can they? A good person can change when they starve.

You picked your hand up, cradling it against your chest, fear of frostbite. The forest seemed to quiet down its horrendous sounds. Now is the time to keep running, nowhere to go but just for a while. Just until Sans felt better again.

"You want to help but you won't let me take even a bite?"

That voice sent chills down your spine as your heart raced with fear and adrenaline. Your legs knew what to do, you ran as fast as you could. Just outrun him, tire him out. You already did what Papyrus said to do. You kept Sans from eating parts of you. And though you're sure the sight alone of doing so was enough to push you past the brink of sanity, you held on.
