"Can I help you with something?" I asked them.

"I think we never introduced ourselves to you. My name is Chase and these are Bryan, Jack and David." he said and pointed to each one of them.

I gave them a small smile. I definitely won't tell them that I already know who they are and what status they are in this school.

"Nice to meet you guys." I said.

"We are sorry about Blake. He has...some problems going on right now so don't take it seriously." David said and left with the others to the cafeteria.

I stood there surprised and shocked at the same time.

Did they just apologised to me because of him?

"Why are they so nice to me? They are so different of what Alice and the others told me...."

I stood there for a few minutes before I just shrugged it off and went to the library.

I spent my whole lunch time in the library doing some research and write the things we need.

After I finished some things I went to the fields where Alice and the others had their P.E lesson. Even though it's the end of November, it wasn't cold at all. The sun was still shining and no clouds were to see. I kinda feel sorry for them to do sports in this heat. Well, that's Florida for you.

I sat down on a bench which was under a big tree, giving me some shelter from the sun. I could see the whole field and watch some jocks playing football for their upcoming match, cheerleaders who were training...well it looks more like they are stripping in front of the boys. Alice and the others where running around the field.

How does it feel like to run?

I didn't run since I was 7. I already forgot how it feels but it seems like it's quiet tiring.

Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Jack and Chase.

"Is the good girl ditching P.E?" Jack asked with a smirk and sat down on my left side while Chase sat down on my right side.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"I should ask you that." I said.

"We don't feel like sweating." Chase said and shrugged.

"So Eli, why is a beautiful girl like you sitting here alone ditching P.E?" Jack asked.

"That was a lame pick up line, Jack." Chase said.

Jack glared at him while I laughed.

"Why don't you just shut up? It could have worked!" Jack said.

Chase looked at me.

"Did it work?" he asked.

I looked to Jack who looked like he did it.

"No, it didn't. Pick up lines never work on me, little boy." I said and laughed along with Chase.

"Hey! I'm taller than you!" Jack pouted.

"But still too small in the 'Man world'!" I said and laughed harder.

It's true. Blake was the biggest one of them while Jack was the smallest. He was about 5'11.

Chase fell off of the bench hugging his stomach while laughing his ads out.

"T-That was j-just hilarious!" Chase said between laughs.

Jack glared at us.

"Ha ha. Really funny." he said.

I calmed down a bit and took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, but I just had to." I apologised. "Forgive me?" I asked with an innocent smile.

"Fine! But only because you're a girl and I can't really get mad at girls." he said.

"Whipped." I heard Chase say and laughed.

"Okay, that's it. I'm out." Jack said and stomped away.

"Awww now is our little Jack mad." I said and looked at Chase who tried to get up from the ground.

We spoke and laughed about random things. I learned some things about him and the others. Most of it was about Blake. I now know that the boys aren't that bad. They are really nice and funny to be with.

When we always spoke about Blake, he would avoid some things. I didn't ask for it because there must be a reason why he can't tell me. Seems like Chase and Blake are best friends since they were in middle school. Blake wasn't easy to approach because he was already in his rebel state. But there was a time where Blake helped him with some boys and that's when they become friends.

We got to know each other better and we also got closer.

"By the way, is Beth your full name or is it short for something?" Chase suddenly asked.

"It's only short for my name because people say that it's too long. Most of the people would call me Beth but you can also call me Eli or Eliza or Liz or Liza. It's much shorter." I explained.

"Woah too much. I just call you Liz because it's the shortest of all." he said.

"Well your choice." I said.

The bell rung telling me that my free period is over. I stood up and grabbed my things.

"It was nice spending time with you. See you around!" I said and we parted our ways.

He was really nice and I really started to like him. Not the 'like' as in like. It's more of best friends. Ah you know what I mean.

I was walking down the hallway when I saw Blake. I took a deep breath before I approached him. I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. He looked at me with an annoyed face.

"What?" he asked pissed.

"When do you want to meet because of the presentation? It's better we get started so we can finish it sooner." I said.

"Can you just f*ck off and let me be? I don't want to do that sh*t." he said cold.

I flinched at his tone but didn't backed down. I stood there straight, looking at his face blankly.

"No, 'cause this is important for me. Just agreed so that I won't be stuck with you all the time." I said.

He glared at me before he scoffed.

"Whatever. Just tell me when and where." he said.

"Library after school." I said and walked away as soon I said that.

I saw some students looking at me impressed, some scared and some shocked. Well, I spoke to the bad boy while he was in a bad mood.

I don't know if that was really an good idea though...
