Texting the Ghosts || Max and Harvey Fanfiction

         The girl stared back at me, who was she?! Harvey came barging through the door.
"Max what the hell?!" He yelled
I looked at the girl she disappeared.
"Nothing..I..I..saw a spider." I say
"You don't usually scream." Harvey said crossing his arms
"It was a hairy one." I say quickly
"Ok then..we come down stairs mom wants you." He said and walked out
I breathed out. My phone went off again.

??: idiot. You almost blew my cover.

Max: who are you??

??: you'll find out soon enough.

       I shook my head and headed down stairs. I was quiet during dinner, Harvey kept giving me strange looks. I kept thinking about the girl with the blood shot eyes. Long black hair. I shuddered.
"You ok Max?" Tilly asked me
"Oh I'm fine I'm just cold." I say
"It is a little cold in here..." Dad said
"No I'm fine." I say
Dad nodded.

        I crawled back up to my bedroom after dinner. I laid curled up in my blankets hiding from whoever was watching me. I ended up falling asleep. I woke the next morning with 105 text messages, I checked them.

??: well what should we do?

Hayley: something. He's still on the lose

??: how are we gonna convince him? He almost blew Sarah's cover yesterday

Hayley: trust me guys.

      I stared at the texts. What the hell? I though Hayley was dead. What are these other people?! I shut my phone off, who were they talking about? I covered my face with the covers, someone pulled them down.
"Get up sleepy head." Leo said
"Leo..what time is it?" I ask
"Um 10." He said
"10?! I need to get up." I say
I jump out of bed and get dressed.
       I eat my breakfast and watch TV, when someone knocks on the door. I get up to answer it and see some girl standing there.
"Um hi." I say
"Hey." She says
"Who are you?" I ask
"Eva. You see I have this friend who died just a few weeks ago. She recently texted me and told me to come here and talk to you." Eva said
"What's your friends name?" I ask
"Sarah." She says
I stop. Sarah. The group chat thing, a girl was named Sarah.. I let Eva in and led her upstairs, I closed the door shut behind us.
"What do you mean your friend told you to come here?" I ask leaning against the door.
"I don't know. I was texting her, and I knew she wouldn't respond since she was dead but then she responded. She told me to go to Max Mills in Berkshire." Eva says quickly
I get out my phone and hand it to her. I tell her to read the texts.
"Who are these people?" She asks
"The Hayley girl is my friend that died. I don't know who the other people are. She just started to text me last night." I say
"And Sarah?" She asks
"I don't know..she was in my bedroom last night." I say
"Maybe it's my Sarah." Eva says
"Maybe." I say
"What do you think this means?" Eva asks
"I'm not sure." I say
My phone dings, Eva hands me it.

Hayley: you're finally together.
