                          Diversions
                          

                          Anything but reality
                          staring at finality
                          with cold detached banality
                          And though I grasp eternity
                          I'm firmly clasped and yearning – 
                              something that is burning    

                          

                          A/N:  I wrote this from the perspective of a unrepentant sinner who understands that there is a God, Heaven and Hell, and yet just cannot let go of the sin that entangles his heart.  This really breaks my heart that this occurs.
