INTRODUCTION

The building was painted jet black, with bright lettering

affixed to its surface, that read:

Those words, gleamed in the darkness of the sable brick

like a pot of gold in a dark hole. Underneath the gallant

heading sat a dancing feline with a bow tie around its

neck. The image flickered on and off illuminating the dust

of dawn. If the cute flickering pussy cat that shined so

bright, could talk, what strange tales it would tell. If

only the prancing feline would talk to you. What would

it say? I imagine, it would bubble forth like an

unpredictable fountain, saying words that, sounded a bit

like a tall tale. No not Peter Rabbit, and how he got his

cotton tail, but of Joe Somebody and how he got him some

tail and of Sally Someone and how she gave away hers.

Maybe they were in the pursuit ..of.. The American Dream,

of love...of life and the search of some sought of

happiness. The flickering, light of the silver kitty, wouldn't seem so bright anymore.

 Yet you'd be drawn to its shine, much like a moth to a flame. Beautiful but singed by

its' very words. The glimmer of the Strobe Light Honeys,

wasn't as glamorous as one would believe.

On Friday nights, and most every other night, cars piled in

The Platinum Pussy Cat, like roaches in the ghetto.

Men and sometimes women came from all around the country to

step there feet into the doors, of the Prancing Pussy.

Some patrons would arrive right at eight just to stand and

stare, in amazement, as the dancing Demoiselles arrived
