Soft fabric over my skin

Firm and soft support beneath my head... a pillow

Warm air kissing my skin

An unfamiliar surface underneath me

I open my eyes slowly, wincing at the light which feels so strange against them. My eyes dart taking in the white ceiling and small spot lights. My muscles twitch again and I attempt to move my fingers and toes getting a stiff but decent response. My whole body is stiff. I remember the eyes watching me and shrink back into the surface... the bed I’m on. Nothing moves towards me. I curl my limbs, making sure they work effectively before pulling my body into sitting position, my knees in front of my body acting as a barrier. My eyes once again dart finding a set of blue ones looking back at me and that I’m sitting in some kind of hospital room. Where am I? Who is he?
