I knew it was Jessica because no one else in this house walks that loud but her.
"Whatcha guys talking about?"
"None of you business, Liar."
I started to rise up from my bed.
"YOU LIED TO ME MY WHOLE LIFE!!! EITHER YOU TELL ME THE TRUTH OR GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!!" I yelled at her.
"What's going on?"
"YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON! YOU KNEW THIS WHOLE TIME THAT WE HAD OTHER SIBLINGS, BUT YET YOU KEPT LYING TO ME."
"Um. Sarah, I think that you should sit down."
Yea no kidding. I calmly sat down and waited for her response.
"I guess that you saw what was on my desk."
"Yea. No kidding."
"Sorry that I kept that from you."
"It's okay. But you should have done that"
Than it was my turn to shove questions at her.
"Is Dad alive?"
"How would I know?"
"Because you have mom's number. You can find out and can I call the number?"
Jessica kept silent. Maybe too silent.
"AHEM?"
"Yes?"
"Answering is an awesome thing right now."
I pulled out the postie note and my phone. I started dialing the number when Jessica shouted,
"STOP!"
I stopped to look at her and she stared into my eyes.
"What? I'm just calling the number."
I started dialing and put the phone to my ear. I waited for Ally to pick up. After 15 seconds going by, she picked up.
"Hello? May I ask whom I am speaking to?"
So much for the first impression. At least I know that she's a grammar freak like Jessica.
"Um. Yea, sure. This is Sarah. My older sister had received a text message from 'mom' saying that we were related."
I heard a shriek at the end of the line. And silence.
"Hello?"
I asked. It was still silent at the end of the line.
"Oh. Sorry, Lizzy -"
I finish her sentence.
"My younger sister. I know."
"Right. You know. She was talking to me."
"Um. So where do you want to meet?"
I asked.
"Let's meet at Starbucks! Is that okay?"
"Yeah! That's great! Um. Friday?"
"Friday."
"Kay. Bye!"
"Bye!"
She hung up first and than I did. I looked up at Jessica and saw she was giving me the stink eye.
