I wake up on Saturday morning seeing my adopted older sister in her bed across the hallway. Today was Thanksgiving and I couldn't wait to see my friends. I called them yesterday to make sure they were coming. I was so excited yesterday because I get to hang out with my friends. It's like I haven't seen them in like a whole month, but I did see them a week ago.  I am so excited. My older sister woke up and said,

"Good Morning."

"Good Morning" I say back.

I got ready for my friends to come and get dressed. Sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Sarah. I am in 12th grade and I am 18.  My sister's name is Jessica, she's 23. My mom and dad died in a plane crash. With no siblings, it's just us.

I went downstairs and waited for Jessica to come down. I was sooooo hungry! I always wanted other siblings to live with because Jessica acts like I don't exist to her.

Finally when Jessica came down, she made breakfast. I heard the door knocking. So I went to get the door. I saw John. If you don't know him, he's is my boyfriend. John walked in and said,

"Hey Sarah. Um. Can I talk to you privately?"

"Sure. What's up?"

While John and I walked into the living room, thoughts floated in my head. Why did he sound like something was wrong?

"I'm sorry to say but me, Stacie, Matt, and Niko aren't coming today."

"What?! But- I even asked you all yesterday and you guys said you were available."

"I'm sorry. Um.. I know this isn't a good time but.... I don't think this relationship is going to work out.. I mean.. I have work and stuff. I'm sorry Sarah."

I stared at him for a good 10 seconds and ran upstairs to my room and locked the door.
