Roanna was stolen as an infant by a deamon man with a soul purpose to eradicate mutants in alegasia. She has no memory of the world outside the "testing" area and has been kept in a cage for the long six years of her life, she has been tested and exposed to most everything in an attempt to rid her of her powers and kill her. But to the deamon man and his Minions rage she has seemingly just been getting stronger and better able to control her powers.

Every now and then, for they didn't have any way to measure time down in the confines of the "testing" area, the mutants would be put in an erena in pairs to fight. Only one person was left standing each time, but it seemed there was no end to the supply of these freaks. Roanna had fought too many battles to count and in most she just barely escaped alive. After these battles she would be left for days on end while her wounds festered and without food or water, it was times like these that the " manipulators" as she called them chose to mix up the habitat and brightness of her cage, she would be forced to change into many different types of animal racing against the terrifying pain shooting through her to find a suitable creature that was not affected by this particular torturous combination of elements.

This time it was a wooden box with light holes and full of water so she had to settle with being an otter. Seemingly have solved it too quickly, the manipulators cursed her and went off to torture some other innocent mutant. Not that any of them were innocent, they had all killed, so many of the other mutants, but they fought against each other, even if it wasn't their desire. They still did it, they basically murdered their own kin just to live their miserable life for a little while longer.

Why did Roanna and so many others fight so hard for a life of pain and missery? Where there brighter days ahead? Or will she be stuck here forever to never know the world that lies outside?
