Finding Melody in the Riddle (Dramione)

Since his father was pretty much Voldemort's second in command, it was only natural that Draco and Melody had been the first of all the children to interact with each other and they became fast friends. They were practically inseparable.

He'd picked out a pretty little friendship bracelet with all sorts of charms all over it. One was a silver dragon to represent him as her best friend. He couldn't wait for her to see it and wouldn't have minded her stealing it from his father, but her own father had told her she'd have to wait and told them to go out on the racing brooms.

"Come on, Mel!" He called, racing her to the backdoor to go outside. He was competitive, but sometimes he let her win because at times she'd get really upset when she lost. Today was her birthday and she should always win on that day.

They flew around on the racing brooms and as each kid arrived, more brooms joined them. Blaise was his second best friend and they were the most competitive with each other. Pansy was already trying to grab Draco's attention. Her parents wanted her and Draco to have an arranged marriage, but chances were that wasn't going to happen. The Parkinson's as high in popularity as they thought they were. Pansy at the moment was trying to race past Melody, but Draco intercepted her.

"Quit it, Pansy!" Draco hissed. "It's Melody's birthday. Let her win." Pansy gave him a big pout, but she ignored what Draco said and raced towards Melody and grinned at her. " I'm going to win" Pansy shouted.

Melody started to get a bit angry because Pansy was actually starting to win.

Since Melody was still little her magic was not as developed so when she sent a Crusio towards Pansy then it was so weak that it would only stop her for a few minutes, but it was enough to win.

" kids it's time to open presents so get down on the ground " Helena said

Melody smiled and was soon down and was ready to open gifts.

She opened her parents gift from her parents first as this was just after the pureblood rules.

Her parents had given her a book about pureblood rules and old rituals, they had also given her a silver necklace ( like the ones that males uses in the navy and army ) which she could give to whoever she wanted, and that person got it would feel empty if the one that gave it to him would die. Melody's parents had actually used some of Melody's own lifeblood which could be used to make a horocrux.

Melody then opened the gift from Pansy, she had gotten a Hogwarts a history book. With the words happy birthday Melody from Pansy.

The next gift that was opened was from Marcus and Blaise they had given her a quidditch set, and because of Marcus was nine then they had managed to give her a bludger.

Crab and Goyle had given her a caldrun which could make real potions.

Voldemort sat and watched Melody open the gifts he gave a slight nod to let the parents know that the gifts was acceptable.

He did however not know why she did not open Draco's gift after she had opened the gift from them. The Malfoy's were after all his second in command.

Melody looked at the gift for a long time, voldemort thought that she might hated it and did not want to open it, but he got a shock.

" I want to open it after I have blown out the candles" Melody said and hugged the present to her chest.

Voldemort raised his eyebrows, in the wizarding society it was a really high honour to open the gifts after candles was blown, normally that was something that was done to the gifts given from the parents.
