22. Girls Day Out

Tony's POV

It's been three and a half months since the explosion, three months since Dani's kidnappings and things are finally starting to get back to normal. After recovering for two weeks in the hospital dani, Jenny and the boss came to stay here with Ziva, Tali and me. Things were a little awkward at first living with boss, but after the first week it felt normal. I know that rebuilding a house takes time and having them here has been great for my girls and me

Ziva's now eight months pregnant with our son and I work long hours, so Jen's been a great help with Tali who absolutely adores her

I woke up at seven am to an empty bed, I know that Ziva's been having trouble sleeping comfortably lately, so I went downstairs to check on her to find her seated with Tali in the living room. They were having Tali's favorite breakfast cereal

Tali: hi Abba

"Hi pumpkin, what are you doing up so early?" I asked her

Ziva: she had a bad dream, so I brought her down here with me

Tali: it was scary Abba

"You don't ever have to be afraid, because I'm here and I will always protect my little angel" I assured her as she came and sat on my lap

Tali: and Ima too?

"Yes Ima too. I love you both very much and as long as I'm around I won't let anything happen to either of you" I told her as she came and took a seat on my lap "I was thinking we could take her to the fair while it's in town" I suggested to Ziva

Ziva: that sounds like fun, but don't you have work?

"Not today, I'm focusing on my beautiful girls. This past week I've been so busy that I barely made it home in time to tuck Tali in or enjoy dinner with my soon to be wife. I want to make it up to you both" I told them

Ziva: we know it's not on purpose, you had a very stressful case and I've been there, so I understand

"Yes, but I still want to spend the day with you two. Boss gave the team the week off, so I've got time. I'll give Tali her bath" I told Ziva before picking up our angel carrying her into the bathroom where I set a bubble bath for her. I let her have her fun playing with her bath time toys for a while before taking her out. "Was that fun?" I asked

Tali: the funest

"Let's go get you dressed so we can have even more fun" I said and she got so excited running into mine and ziva's bedroom where her mom stood in the mirror

"Is everything okay sweet cheeks?" I asked

Ziva: it's fine, he's just doing a lot of kicking this morning

"Does that hurt?" I asked

Ziva: it doesn't hurt, I actually love the feeling knowing that this is a life we created together. He's not here yet, but I love him so much

"I do too" I said as she took a seat on our bed, she already had both mine and Tali's clothes laid out for us

Ziva: I'll get her dressed while you shower then we can get going

Tali: Abba can dani come too?

"I asked, but her mom and dad are taking her on college tours here in DC even though she has her mindset on MIT" I explained "they'll be busy today pumpkin" I continued

Ziva: don't be sad, your Abba and I will make sure you have lots of fun today

I went and showered then got dressed for our day out. We all headed down to the car and I drove the girl to the county fair, Tali's eyes lit with excitement when our car came to a stop, she was all too happy to run around
