Another Life

I held him close to me, my head resting in the gap of his collar bone, his scent was over flowing my nostrils.

"Jeongguk, this is it you know" I managed to choke out, tears somehow managed to sting at my eyes when I said that.

"Yeah, I know Tae" he rested his head on mine, we were dancing in an empty gymnasium during the apocalypse, how fucking cliche is that?

How many movies have you seen with this ending? Tsk, obviously tons.
Except this is the real deal, we decided to head over here for one last dance till the next dawn.

"Hyung, I can't believe it's real" I could feel his tears start to wet the hair on the top of my head, I looked up and cupped his face with my hands. "At least we're here together, right?" I tried my best to smile without the tears falling down my face, but how can I keep it together when this is the last time I'll ever see his face.

"G-Guk, why now?" I removed my hands from his face and grabbed his suit (yes suits) and buried my face in his shirt. I felt his long arms wrap around me and his head sat on my shoulder.

"I don't know Hyungie, maybe in another life we'll be happier" he sobbed into my shoulder, the fabric of the suit damp and seeping through to the cloth of my shirt.

"Don't cry Kook~ah, you're going to make me- cry" I tilted my head up so the tears wouldn't fall out, but it wasn't enough, I bit my lip and closed my eyes. The tears streaming down my cheeks.

"Jeongguk, I love you" I managed to choke out into his chest, "I-Iloveyouiloveyouiloveyou" I couldn't stop saying it, like a broken record, one that wasn't broken though. "Taehyung, I love you too" he looked up from my shoulder, his eyes shining from the tears making them reflect off the moonlight, making it look like a tiny Galaxy.

His hand rested behind my neck and the other cupping my right cheek, he pulled me closer, about halfway until I pulled myself the extra mile to meet him.

Our kisses sweet and short, but the last kiss had our tongues entangled in a sweet dance, more passionate, Jeongguk's tongue dominating over mine, not caring if the saliva dribbled down our chins.

"K-Kook" I managed to choke out through the tears and his tongue dancing around my mouth.

He rested his head right next to my ear and started to dance around the room, his hands on mine and starting to hum a nice but sad melody which then turned into words.

"But when I awoke, dear, I was mistaken
So I hung my head and I cried.

And then it went black, everything, just like they said it would, all at once, the whole goddamn world blew up, and I got to see the love of my life for the last time. I wanted to scream and cry.

But I don't know where I am, I don't know what to feel, I honestly can't feel, and all I can hope is that I can ask for another life with you, just one. Just to see your damn beautiful face, with those eyes I could drown in.

Those damn eyes I could get lost in, so deep like black holes, yet so comforting that i didn't mind getting lost.

Oh god Jeongguk, what if I don't remember you, I hope I do, so again all I can say. Another life is all I need for me, just to see you one more time.
