Alia

Staring at the outside of the 21st precinct, I felt my heart pounding against my chest. Trembles started to overtake my body at the thought of having to relieve that moment. Grabbing my hand, my dad sent me a reassuring smile.

Guiding me up the stairs and pass the busy lobby, we started to make it up to the bullpen. Spotting Hailey, I looked up towards my dad who nodded at me. Once the blonde turned towards me, I jogged over to the woman who hugged me protectively. "are you ok?"

Shaking my head, tears started to fall down my cheeks. Understanding that something happened, she brought me into the break room, closing the blinds. Sitting on the couch, I tried to stop my tears.

Hearing the door shut, Hailey and my dad sat in front of my shaken figure. "Alia, sweetie you have to tell us what's going on". Glancing between the two of them, they sent me an encouraging look.

"As I was leaving school with Jordan, I saw Zeke leaning on his car. He just smirked at the two of us, like he knew something that we didn't. I didn't think about it to much, I didn't want to think about it. Only when Jordan's parents dropped me off, I..." stopping myself, I tried to not cry. "Zeke followed me to the apartment, only I didn't know Mason was with him."

I could see the anger brewing in my father's eyes. Trying to stop the sobs to continue talking, Hailey's hand laced into mine. "I was trying to shut the door but Mason blocked it from closing. After that, he came into the apartment, Zeke held me and covered my mouth so I couldn't scream. Only as I realized what was going to happen I started kicking and squirming to get out. I kicked Mason, punched Zeke and got the hell out of the apartment"

As my dad sat next to me on the couch, I instantly wrapped my arms around his waist, burying my head in his neck. "I got you". Hearing him talk to Hailey for a few seconds, about talking to Voight and alerting Jordan's parents about Mason, he never released his protective hold.

"I think I broke a lamp" was all I could mutter out. Kissing my head, I felt his chest vibrate against my body as he let out a small laugh.

"It was probably a bad lamp anyway." As the door opened once again, I panicked slightly before spotting Voight at the door. A small smile was given, as dad's boss came closer.

"How are you doing kid". Shrugging softly, I maintained eye contact.

"Shaken, on edge". Nodding to me understandingly, he sat on the chair in front of us. Although he was talking to my dad mostly, occasionally he would ask me questions, anything that can help locate Zeke and Mason.

"Zeke was outside the school today, which caused me to think something was wrong. When you arrested Mason, Zeke never hung around, we never seen him at the school".

Standing up from the table, he glanced at my father and I. "You got some fight in you like your dad Alia". Sending him a smile, he left the room.

Eventually my father and I exited the break room. The former soldier wanting me to fully be introduced to Intelligence. Glancing around at the adults, Hailey sent me a smile knowing I was nervous. "Guys, you remember Alia"

Smiling at the detectives, warm smiles were sent my way, before they were towards Jay questioningly. "Well I want you guys to meet my daughter". Shocked overwhelmed them for a few minutes, before the whole congratulatory train started. Shuffling over to Hailey, the blonde woman wrapped an arm over my shoulder, pulling me under her wing.

"Welcome to the Intelligence family kiddo". Leaning into the woman embrace, my eyes flickered around the bullpen. The way everyone worked efficiently, bouncing off of one another's answers. It really was like a family, and hopefully I was able to fit in eventually.

"Do I have to go to school tomorrow". The girl started started chuckling, squeezing my shoulders.

"That is something your dad has to answer". Both of us turning towards my dad, I could tell he felt our stares. Rotating his head to look at Hailey and I, he raised his eyebrows at us. Striding over to us, he smirked at us.

"Now what are you two ladies up to. It seems like you are doing something shady"

Chuckling softly, the blonde nudged me. "Hey dad".  Speaking in a sing-songy voice, he knew I wanted something. Leaning on the desk, he gave me all of his attention. "Can I stay home with you tomorrow".

Chuckling lightly, he motioned for me over. Sliding out from under Hailey's arm, I was found inside my father's hold. Holding me against his chest, his hands tickled my sides, causing a small giggle to fall past my lips. Laying his head on top of mine, I relaxed in his arms. "Well, I am ok with you staying home but I have to come into work tomorrow."

Not liking the idea of staying at the apartment alone, I sighed defeated. "She can stay with me, I have off". Both of our heads whipped towards Hailey's, surprised that she was willing to help. Flicking my eyes to dad, I could see the gears turning in his head. "Besides, it gives me a chance to have a girls day with her"

As if breaking his inner battle, he nodded his head towards his partner. Smiling brightly at the detective, happiness shining into our eyes. The longer we did, a bond started to form between us, one that I would cherish for a long time.
