Alia

Soon after he left, I was relaxing in the bonus room, when the phone in my backpack went off. Getting up from the couch, I almost dropped my phone at the text message I received.

Racing out of the room, everyone from Intelligence was gone, and I was starting to freak out. Sprinting down the stairs, I walked over to where a lady behind a counter was standing, exerting the same energy as Voight. Noticing my troubling look, she came out from behind the counter.

"Is everything ok". All I could do was shake my head, tears forming in my eyes. Handing her my phone she saw the text message with a picture attached.

"You have to help them". Immediately nodding, she grabbed her walkie from the counter calling it over dispatch. Bringing me into the small office in the ground level, she stayed with me.

"Intelligence is on their way over there now". Sitting there in distress, I was worried. My family was in trouble because of me. Blinking away the tears that were forming, I noticed the lady come back with a cup of hot chocolate in her hand. "I hear Hot Chocolate is the go to cure for kids".

Chuckling softly, I gave her a nod. "It is. I am always making Hot Chocolate at the house, it is something that keeps my foster siblings calm"

I didn't know how long I was in the small office with Sergeant Platt, but a loud commotion caught our attention. As she opened the door, two people came into view and both tried to lunge at me. Instantly pulling me behind her, Platt stood tall and sent the two men a glare. "Bring them to lock up".

Watching the officers bring the raging men to where lock up was, I saw Intelligence standing in the lobby. Stepping out of the office when it was safe, Intelligence sent me a relieved smile.

As most of the detectives went back upstairs, Platt walked back behind her desk leaving me with Jay. Wrapping my arms around the former soldier, I could tell he was surprised. "Thank you"

Hearing the gate open from behind us, I saw Hailey holding my backpack. Smiling at her, I took the bag from her hands. "Be safe kiddo, and don't go searching for trouble"

Shrugging my shoulders, she chuckled softly. The sound of a voice I was very familiar with caught my attention. Spinning around a flash of blonde hair came flying towards me, hands wrapping around my legs.

Glancing down at Evelyn, her giggles brought a light energy to the room. Unwrapping her arms, I picked up the girl only to have arms thrown around me from Drake and Connor. "You aren't allowed to leave us alone anymore Alia. We needed our 4th nerf member"

Chuckling at the idea of my foster siblings trying to shoot the bad guys with nerf guns filling my mind. Watching eyes on us, I saw Platt, Hailey, and Jay staring at the reunion. "Alright rascals, lets get going."

Reluctantly letting me go, the two boys made their way over to where Jacob was standing. Still holding Eve, I gave 3 cops a grateful smile before leaving the station with my foster family.

Piling into the truck, I let out a soft breath as I turned towards Jacob. "We are safe Alia, so don't worry to much. Besides Connor and Drake were trying to annoy the crap out of them, even though I tried to get them to stop."

Chuckling softly, I turned around from the passenger seat to turn to my foster brothers. Both innocently smiling and waving. "We did what we did best. We knew you would save us"

Although they weren't my real family, not my biological siblings, I would do as much as I can to keep them safe. So to get that picture of them being in trouble, I did what I could to save them.

Pulling away from the precinct, music was turned on and every person in the car sang along with the songs. All enjoying the family moment.

Getting out of the car, I stared at the house. Just thinking about what happened only an hour ago. Slowly walking through the door, nerf bullets littered the floor. Obviously evidence of Drake and Connor trying to shot the bad guys away.

Venturing up the stairs, I grabbed a pair of clothes from my dresser before entering the bathroom to shower. I really wanted to wash the night and worries away.

Following the same routine as every other morning, I tried to get back to normal. I didn't want to think about the video, or the idea of being stalked. Stepping into the school, Jordan's body jumped onto my back.

Almost falling down in the middle of hallway not expecting the extra weight. I grabbed a hold of her and the wall as fast as possible, as to keep us both from toppling over. "Hello to you to Jordan"

"It was so boring without you here". Her dramatics shining through. Jordan Brokes was a theater girl at heart, she loved the singing, dancing, acting, and of course all the drama involved in it. Of course I wouldn't want a better person to have my back.

"Well I'm sure you flirted with Mason without me pestering you not to". That stopping her slightly. My energetic blonde friend had a crush on a kid in 9th grade named Mason, and I just never felt comfortable around him. He gives off this uneasy vibe, something I didn't take lightly.

Of course being the best friend, I tried countless times to keep the girl from talking to him, but I can't exactly control how she feels. All I know is that if he gives her trouble or hurts her, I won't stand by and let things happen.

Walking into the our first period, I sat in the seat my teach assigned. Giving Jordan a face of boredom, she tried to stifle her laughs, feeling the exact same way I did. Paying attention to what the teacher was talking about, most of the students were trying to stay awake, while others openly feel asleep.

The normal routine I had, the normal life I thought I would have. That wasn't going to happen. My life was about change.
