(24) The Lost Witch

"It's expected" She stated with a bitter laugh "My family, my home, everyone is afraid of me. afraid of what I can do. That's why I'm here, Surrounded with my enemies. fed me to the wolves"

And then it clicked. The reason why Alaric's people lived with a witch. A creature wolves despised for centuries

"Alaric spared your life" She stated. Surprised at his bravery

Thana then shook her head "Alaric planned to take my heart out to take my misery away but unfortunately Lucas came in and he spared me my life. And I will forever be in his debt"

Savanna could only look at Thana. Watching her curiously until Thana looked at her with a shaky smile "so when you came I knew I've seen you before and that you wouldn't hurt me"

Thana began to close her eyes. Her back landed on the soft mattress and she lay with peace

"I saw you in my dreams. You were their except you weren't alive. You were floating towards you death. To oblivion yet I felt your strength and I couldn't help but feel drawn to your blood"

Shocked coursed through her body as she said slowly

"How is that possible? I- I don't understand-"

" I feed on dark magic Savanna. I crave your blood because you have something I want" I interjected shortly. Her eyes gazed in anger and frustration

" That's why you were kicked out of your clan wasn't it? Because you were born different"

Thana nodded in despair " the thing about you is that you were born with pure goodness, you shouldn't even hold Vashka's blood and fortunately it can leave you but I'm stuck with this demon for eternity"

Savanna couldn't breath. The information had stopped her mind as this statement brought her to bubble up in hope

Savanna let out a strangled laugh. Everything would be fine then? if She loses this curse would she be free from that woman?

Savanna Didn't know she had spaced out until she felt a hand touch her back. With the touch of a hand, Savanna couldn't help but flinch when it made contact with the burned skin underneath her shirt

Thana then said lowly "I'm sorry for this Savanna, We could had refrained from hitting the force but then that witch had to come" She grumbled in sadness but Savanna only shook Thana's hands away before she smiled stiffly

"I'll get used to it" sighing, Thana asked gently

"Can I see it?" With a shrug Savanna let her raise her shirt up to see the hard lines of pain and Savanna could still feel it burn

"The force was from your sisters wasn't it? When they chanted something in the room, I heard them"

Silently Thana nodded grimly before she said in a quite whisper

"It took them years to perfect such magic. They had it performed so many times yet I never thought Vashka could still be breathing by now. That woman just had to transport herself" Thana growled in frustration and this got Savanna into thinking

"Are you saying that magic could destroy Vashka?" She asked Thana who nodded in hesitation

"They believe so. I Saw my sisters practice a lot of times and they took it so seriously. They knew it wouldn't work but it could hurt her pretty badly"

Suddenly Savanna jumped out of her place and turned towards the witch with wide eyes

"Would you teach me Thana?"

"What?" Thana stuttered in shock before she began to frantically shake her head " I can't. I-I shouldnt-"

"Thana please" She begged her eyes searching for Thana who battled with herself. Her fear consumed her body as she shook

"I don't want to do anything with magic" She stated shakily but Savanna held her arms ans shook her

"Thana you got to understand you need to. I need to know how Thana please help me" She begged once more while Thana stood rigid until her body hunched forward in defeat

"I'm not good Savanna but I can help you a little but after that you're on your own"

"Yes"

Hours have passed and there was still no sign of Lucas so Savanna instead focused on her training with Thana who was agitated with getting her hands with magic once again. Savanna learned a lot about Thana. How she had banned herself form feeling when they are what that turnes her powers on. She pitied Thana who clearly hated teaching such magic but she had to. She needed this if everyone wants Vashka dead. That woman had done too much damage to everyone already

As Savanna grew frustrated she grunted in pain when something pricked er fingers which she cried out from its pain

"This is too hard" she growled angrily while Thana only sighed before saying

" It should be, you're not suppose to have magic anyway. Your wolf fights it and will. Creatures like yours despise anything related to witchcraft. Now again-"

suddenly they were stopped when they heard a bell. Signaling a visitor

"Savanna"

Savanna jumped when she heard a familiar voice of Lucas. His voice played her mind as she looked around but his presence wasn't seen. Hesitant she answered back

"Lucas?" She whispered and heard him sigh before he replied with his husk voice

"Amanada has arrive"

Hope and happiness bubbled through her body as she sprang to life. Savanna immediately left the room and Thana who stood chuckling shook her head

Never had she ran like her shoes were on fire until  they faltered when she sawAmanda being carried in a bed.

"Is she safe?" she gasp. Her eyes looked at her pale skin, searching as Amanda's heartbeat steadied in a normal beat

"Still in a coma but the healer believes she is going to be well" a guard informed her properly where she nodded back I'm response

"We will have to transfer her to her room"

"I'll come with you" she interjected quickly. The guards walked up where she trailed behind, watching Amanda's golden hair hang loosely on her shoulders. When they finally settled her down. Savanna didn't take time to drag a chair and sat Bessie her bed, Holding Amanda's pale skin and gave it a squeeze 

it was silent for a while, not knowing what to say but smiled instead knowing Amanda was at peace so slowly she di tangled her grasp and watched her silently while Savanna thought

'I haven't seen Lucas'

Hesitant she whispered beneath the air in a soft caress

"Lucas"

Her smile strangled when all she got was the winds response

An air filled with Nothing

Hello!!

It's been awhile huh? well schools school and I cant do anything about it. bh I lost in touch with this book but hopefully I could get on my way back and continue this because it's almost finish. So hope to those readers that you enjoyed this chapter and this story. If you think something is missing or if you want to judge my story- I'm open to helpful criticism because I want to improve in my writing skills and I can't do that without your help :)
