This is a poem that i would like to dedicate to the victims of the earthquake in HAITI about the loss they just had... i also wrote this to all UN peacekeeping force and the volunteers who had been in HAITI when the calamity happened. though they were serving another land aside of their own, they dedicated their lives to help other countries in need.
This poem shows an emotion of loss...
PICTURE OF MY LOVE
I hold this single picture
Of someone that I love so dear
Held it close to my heart
As I count my free falling tears.
My love flew to another land
Serving other people miles away
But my love promised me
That it won't be a long stay.
But as the days went into weeks
It's been long since the last time we saw each other
I worry of my love's safety everyday
As weeks turned months and years longer.
Until the breaking news came to me
I thought of my lover's wellness
A tragic disaster had shaken the small land
And saw the people's hopelessness.
A number of people injured
A number of people died
A number of people went missing
And all of the people have cried.
A single phone call I then received
My worries and pain swallowed me whole
Heard it clearly on my ears
The life of my love ended as my heart bore a hole.
Now, I hold this single picture
Of someone that I dearly love
Though we will never see each other
God has it planned, my angel from above.
Now I pray not only for my love
but for the people who needed a helping hand
in this time of need, hardship and trial
let the world unite from all lands.

Let us continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Haiti
who are still suffering emotionally, physically and spritually after
the earthquake. A single prayer everyday will do...
