"What are you doing?" The young looking officer said from the other side on the bars. He looked at me then back to Brielle and then back to me. I looked to Brielle waiting for her reply. I knew she had a smart mouth so I knew it would be good.

"I am actually looking for a way to break out of here." She responded and the officer who cocked his eyebrows and looked at her for a while before dismissing it. We sat around what seemed forever. I had eventually laid down on the floor. The phone would ring every now and then giving me false hope that they would somehow let us out.

"Brianna! Oh my gosh!" I jumped up at the sound of my mother's voice. It was obvious that she was mad, but when her eyes landed on me behind bars, a wave of shock washed over her. She basically ran to the cell that held Brielle and me, separating us. My mother spoke to the officer, "Let her out right this minute." She used a demanding tone and the officer just shook his head. My mother looked a little taken back but what did she really expect.

"If your daughter what to be a trouble causer, she can stay here." He stated and my eyes got wide when my mom sung around back to me.

"What does he mean, Brianna?" She asked looking behind me at Brielle.

"We got into a little trouble." I quietly said to my mother. Her eyes filled with horror and I'm sure she was looking for a way to brace herself for what I had to say.

"Baby, what happened?" My mother looked at me with the same horror in her eyes. So I started to tell her the events that led up to her getting the call of us being here.

*Three months ago.*

I closed the book that I had been reading and looked out the window, looking at the houses around us. The big houses casted shadows over each other. That's where we got lucky. The house on our left was smaller than ours and we never had a shadow over our yard. My family was wealthy and we lived on the north side of Florida in a subdivision where the rest of the wealthy people lived in the summer. Just like them, this was our summer home. When school rolled around, we would fly back to New York where I attended an elite boarding school. It was the best school around and my parents only came back to Florida every summer because this is where they grew up. Dads parents were rich as well as my moms. Somehow they came together but never told me. My grandparents only lived an hour away and even though they were very wealthy they lived in a smaller town than us. Dad said the reasoning was my mother was very pampered with the best and he had to keep it up. He had become one of the most desirable consultant.

I snapped from my thought as I looked down at the house beside us with a moving truck in the drive way showing we were getting new neighbors. I watched as a girl my age moved things around in the bedroom that was across from mine. I could tell she had a nose ring, it reflected the sun a little when she turned, making it visible in the distant. I could also tell she had dirty blonde hair that had pink tips in it. I stared at her for a while watching her. She finally noticed me and rolled her eyes turning away from the window. I understood why. She had moved next door to the biggest house in the neighborhood and she lived in the smallest. We didn't really know how that house made it in the neighborhood but it did and I watched as people unloaded from the truck as well as watching the girl pace around her room, putting things in their new place. The sky had already turned dark so I looked over at the clock which read ten. I shit the blinds on all the windows and pulled the curtains over them. I changed into a pair of pajamas which consisted of my favorite tank top and thigh length shorts in my favorite color. I crawled into bed, wrapping myself in the blankets that seemed to welcome me.

I woke up the next day to the sunlight hitting my face. It took me a few minutes to realize to adjust to the light and to realize that the curtains had been pulled back. I sat up in my bed and looked out the window. It was a beautiful day and that had caused me to smile. I threw the covers off me and slung my legs over the edge of the bed, sliding my feet into my slippers, I stood up and made my way towards the door. I made my way down our hall way until I reached the top of our stair case. As I made my way down the stairs, the smell of breakfast filled my nose. As I walked into the kitchen I saw the sight I saw every morning since our stay here had begun. Mom was leaning our island, reading her paper and drinking coffee. Miss Lucy was washing dishes and humming a quiet tune. I walked over to the table where a plate and a glass of milk had been set out. I knew Miss Lucy had fixed it for me so I looked in her direction.
