Ch.22 Happy First Month!

"I love Salty!" she said confidently, which caused me to almost choke on my juice.

This is awkward.

"What's with Salt that made you two like her?" mom asked in disbelief. Both of them just laughed in response.

Yeah what's with me that make them like me?

I averted my eyes to Cassandra, she's staring at Missy intently, as if something is bugging her.

Does she have a crush on her?

Cassy and I have a lot in common. We have different eye color and she doesn't have fangs like me but we almost looked alike, a mini me though we're half-sisters.

"So, where's your mom?" Cassandra asked Allison all of a sudden.

"She's in a place where we can't find her" she said coldly. Now that she mentioned it, I haven't seen their mom ever since I transferred, only their bitch dad is present.

"I'm sorry I asked" Cassandra said and didn't speak after.

Allison just smiled in understanding as a response. I want to ask her more about her mom and other stuff but it's better if it's just the two of us.

After we ate Allison volunteered to help Cassandra to wash the dishes. I'm surprised that she volunteered but I'm happy because it seems like she's fond of my little sister.Missy and I decided to wait for them on the tree house. It's big enough to carry ten person.

We're both leaning on the wooden couch while gazing up the sky. We're silent, waiting if who will talk first.

"Your shirt fits you" She said after a while.

"Yeah, Allison gave it to me" It's the first thing that she gave to me and I'm so grateful. She didn't respond but I saw on my peripheral vision that she smiled.

"Uh... Missy, I'm sorry" She frowned at me.

"What for?"

"Because Allison and I are lovers now" I said guiltily. She leaned closer and took my right hand and pressed it gently afterwards.

"You don't have to, it's not like you have an obligation to me or what" she's smiling but I know that she's sad.

"I know. It's just that I don't want you to be sad and I want us to still be friends. I hope you will not change, like avoid me or something like that" I said sighing. I don't know what I'll do if Missy started avoiding or ignoring me.

"Of course I won't do that, I love you" she reproached me while smiling before standing up. I'm glad the she loves me, I love her too but she knows that it's pure platonic.

"I didn't expect that Allison likes you too. I mean, she's a bitch to you at first" she said sounding a bit upset.

"Me either" I said smiling.

"Is that okay with you? That she only likes you"

"For now it is, that's an accomplishment" I said honestly before leaning my back on the wall.

"Accomplishment? How?" she asked confused.

"Like you said just now, she's a major bitch to me before. But she still ended up being my girlfriend now, isn't that an accomplishment?" I explained proudly.

"Well, I can't argue with that" she said before moving closer to me. I didn't move away. I'm fighting her gaze and smiling as she touches my cheeks and hugged me tight afterwards.

"I'm just here Salty, and if ever your heart will be broken, don't hesitate to come to me and I will help you heal it no matter what" she said while gently caressing my back. I hugged her tight because I'm moved by what she said.
