I sighed as smoothed my hair down in my slick bun.
"Relax, you'll do fine. you always do." my best friend Lily said.
I shrugged. "I'm not worried. It's not like it matters anyways. Since my parents are making me move to WolfTown, or WolfVille, or whatever it's called." I said.
She sighed." WolfVille?"
I sighed and nodded my head
"Well, I'm sure it's not that bad. Besides, coach said that she was going to try to get you into a gym there." she said.
I sighed. "I doubt they have any there. seriously this place is tiny, like 2000 people tiny." i said.
Lily raised her eyebrows.
"I still don't get why you can't just stay here at my place." she said taking the a bobby pin from my bag and tucking my loose strand of hair in it.
I sighed. "I know, I've begged my parents. But my mom keeps saying that I'll love it there. And that she doesn't wan to be the type if parents that video chat with their kids." I said.
Lily pouted. "I mean, how far is it?" she asked.
I bit my lip. "Canada."
Her mouth hung open as she started at me.
"But, but isn't it supposed to be super cold there? How can you go from sunny Cali to Canada?" she asked.
I shook my head. "I don't know, but anyways, i'mup next. Wish me luck." I said.
She smiled. "Good luck. You'll do great."
I smiled and nodded as I walked up, just as the lady announced my name.
"And now, Emma Shaw on the high beam."
I walked up turning my back to the audience and placing my hands on the beam.
Slowly I lifted myself up and placed my self into a handstand. the crowd cheered. I took a deep breath as I flipped myself over on my feet.
I focused in the beam as I lifted my arms up and jumped doing a flip and landing in one foot. The crowd cheered and I smiled to myself. I was jus getting started.

"C'mon mom please! You saw how great I did out there, I got second place against people 5 years older than me. If I leave now, I'll never get first. I can't just leave all the years work I've done behind." I said.
My mother sighed. "Honey, I understand you're upset that you're leaving your friends. But you'll make new ones. Remember your dad and I are leaving our friends behind too. But this will be good for all of us. This is a job opportunity we can't just pass off' she sighed.
I shook my head. "That's so unfair! Just because you get a good opportunity doesn't mean you have to ruin my life!" I screamed. My mother sighed but didn't say anything as I stomped up the stairs and to my room. My life was officially ruined. It was only downhill from here.

I walked into the office, where a woman wearing all black sat doing paper work in the computer. It looked like her cheeks were sucked in and her lips were plumped.
"Um, hi. My name's Emma Shaw, I'm new here." I said.
The lady looked up in a scowl.
"Oh yes, you're the new girl" she said standing up and grabbing a pile of papers.
I bit my lip as she handed them to me. "Thanks." I said.
She didn't say anything in return.
I raised my eyebrows and nodded my head as I left the office.
