Colby's POV
'Ugh why does my head hurt so much?' I think to myself. The last thing I remember is walking to lunch and then Jace stopping me, but everything after that is fuzzy. I try to open my eyes but it takes me a couple seconds.
I open my eyes to see a bright light and then I shut them again so they can adjust. When my eyes adjust I open them again and look around.
While looking around I notice that I'm in the nurses office. 'How did I get here?' Then I hear voices coming closer to where I am.
"When he wakes up make sure he keeps the ice on his head." I hear some one say.
"Ok" I hear Alex say.
I then see Alex open the door and walk into the room. When he looks at me and notices that I'm awake he walks towards me faster.
"Hey Colby, how are you feeling?" he asks me
"Ok I guess. My head hurts." I say and he looks at me in concern.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you."
"You didn't know." I say trying to reassure him
"I know but-" he starts to say but I cut him off
"But nothing you couldn't have done anything" he looks like he's about to say something but decided against it.
