The way

A vision of beauty,
She danced across the floor
As if no one was watching.
Her fragile frame
Radiated glowing light.
Her lips formed words
More beautiful
Than any line of literature,
Any stanza of poetry,
Any phrase of the human tongue.
Elegance and grace
Poured out of her
Like a fountain,
And when she smiled
You could see infinities
In her eyes.
The entirety of her presence
Felt as though
All the stars in the galaxy
Had finally aligned.
To me,
She was the sun and the moon,
But the tragic truth
Was that the world didn't see her
The way I did,
So she couldn't see that
Of herself.
