"I know. I gotta figure this shit out fast because he really trying to get me pregnant. Did I tell yall that he switched my birth control out for regular vitamins?" I told them.
"What?!" They both started cracking up.
"That shit ain't even funny," I said getting up and taking the three pans out of the oven, "I went and got a refill so fast but he don't even know it. I had to find a hiding place for them and all. He gone make me set up a spy cam on his ass."
"Just give that man some more babies," Kira cried.
"How about you give him some godbabies!" I shot back.
"Actually, me and baby started taking about babies."
"Oh?" I said surprised.
"Yeah, he wants to get started on our honeymoon," she smiled, drifting off, probably thinking about her hubby, Gian.
"I'm surprised!" I beamed.
"Don't be. You're acting like I was anti-children," she laughed, "but to conclude this subject, when I start, you start. My baby gone need somebody to play with so you need to figure yo shit out now. Dress fitting in 5 days."
I rolled my eyes, but I knew she was serious.
"I'm scared to be honest," I finally admitted.
"Why?" Dionne asked, "you did this already, with twins at that."
"And it wasn't a terrible pregnancy but it wasn't easiest pregnancy either. Not to mention, I went in to labor earlier than I would've have liked too."
"First of all, that shit was your fault for being so damn difficult," Dionne said to me, "we talked about all of this shit, you bought all of that stress on to yourself. Chris wanted to be with you and did eveything, and I mean EVERYTHING possible to show you that he changed and was ready to be with you and settled down but you kept pushing him away."
"Besides," Kira picked up on where Dionne left off, "he's here now, always, and forever. So, what's there to be scared about."
I couldn't argue with those facts, so I stayed silent.
"Exactly, honey, there's nothing to be afraid of," Kira winked, "So we're on for next month."
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes playfully, "Now grab a pan and let's go."
After setting the pans on the table we decided to take a dip. I took my sarong off and laid it on one of the empty lounging chairs that sat around the pool.
"Wanna race?" Dionne challenged me with a smirked.
Is she crazy? Does she know how fast I am in water. See, she wasn't in high school with me. I was on the swim team.
"You sure?" I asked her smiling.
"Yeah, let's go!" she said heading toward the deep end.
"Hey everybody in the deep end!" I yelled to get everybody's attention.
Once I had there attention I spoke again, "Make room. Dee' and I are about to race."
Everyone started cheering then Chris got on the microphone.
"Dee' we're cool but my babe is going to win."
Everyone started laughing then, I turned and winked at Chris. He knew already knew what it was. I took my place at the end of the pool and blew him a kiss.
"On your mark.. get set.. GO!" Chris voice boomed over the speaker system but all the noise faded to the background as I dove in to the water. As soon as I hit the water I took off. I was zoning too. My motivation was always thinking that I would be beaten by my opponent, whether I was faster or not, that only made me swim even faster. Plus, I knew how to hold my breath long, so I didn't have to come up for air.
Once I reached the other the end of of the pool I turned around and started back.
When I came up, there was no doubt in my mind that I won. Chris still confirmed my win anyway.Everyone was cheering. I could hear my babies cheering for their mommy too. That made me proud because they were proud.
"Are you a freaking fish!" Dionne asked by the time she finished.
I laughed, "no, I was just on the swim team in high school."
"See, you cheated! You didn't tell me that."
"Hey, I asked you were you sure and you said yes." I smirked, "come on, let's play with the kids."
We headed for the steps and I pulled out a wedgie that I had gotten from diving in. Didn't nobody need to see my goods when I got out of the pool.
"That's what your big ass get," Dionne laughed from behind me.
"Jealous much?" I smiled.
"Never that!" she laughed.
As we made our way around the pool, I greeted some people I had not seen come in. Halfway around the pool Chris pulled me in to the kitchen. He was all over me. He pressed me against the closest wall he could get me to. He pressed his warm lips on to the cool skin of my naval causing me to sigh in pleasure.
"Chris, no," I tried to protest, "we have a yard full of guest."
"So, we're married," he whispered rubbing my love button through the fabric of my bikini bottoms.
"Chris please," I moaned as he ran his hot tongue across my nipples. But then we were interrupted, I turned my head quickly to see Rashad standing there.
"Sorry, I was gonna ask to use the bathroom," he said straight-faced but amusement danced in his eyes.
I got myself together and replied, "Down the hall, second door to your left."
Again, I'm sorry," he replied walking away.
I went back to the pool, he clearly did that on purpose. He was definitely gonna be a problem.
