The wind and the water
From apartments and shelters
Small rooms, porch sitters
Bull wrestlers
Whitney Houston & Marvin Gaye, to Whiz Khalifa & Green Day
From prayer groups & Afghan quilts
Cotton fields, long hard walks
Crazed art, tame stories
Reckless nights, forgetful mornings
From wild imaginations in the pristine Heavens
Blinding white winters to boiling hot summers
Insightful grannies who pinched every penny
Goodness, kindness piled on plenty.
