Phil let out a soft groan as his alarm went off beside him. He reached out and hit his hand against the clock, shutting up the stupid ringing noise. He rubbed his eyes and stood up.

He yawned loudly: he was exhausted. He had stayed up until almost four in the morning, thinking about a lot of things which, for some reason, wouldn't escape his mind.

Phil lazily began to head downstairs and, unsurprisingly, he let out another yawn half way.

His parents were sitting at the kitchen table and his brother appeared to be making some cereal. "Good morning, Phil." His mum greeted with a friendly smile.

"Morning." Phil grumbled, joining his brother and making himself a bowl of cereal.

-

Phil arrived in school with just minutes to spare. The bell literally rang as he walked in the gates which was extremely lucky: he wasn't late!

He wandered through the crowded halls until he reached his tutor. Someone sniggered as he walked in the classroom.

"Do whatever." His tutor simply said.

"Hey, Phil?" Someone randomly whispered, making him turn in the direction of the voice. As soon as Phil saw who it was, his eyes widened.

"Go away." Phil grumbled, burying his head into his hands.

"How are you?"

"I'd be better if you stopped talking to me, Luke." Phil's eyes widened even more as he realised what he had just said.

"Sorry?" Luke replied, as if he couldn't believe what he had just heard.

"Nothing!" Luke momentarily glanced at the teacher and, when he saw he was busy marking, he roughly grabbed Phil by the collar.

"You better watch your mouth. You're really lucky we're in class right now." Phil gulped.

"I'm sorry!" Phil squeaked, letting out a loud breath.

"You should be." Luke then ignored Phil for the rest of tutor.

-

"Phil?" Phil turned, embracing himself for the conversation he was about to have. "Remember tutor?" Within seconds, Phil was grabbed by his collar (again) and harshly pushed against a locker. Phil hated the fact that he was used to it.

-

Phil arrived home with a frown on his face. He aware that his stomach was most-likely littered with disgusting bruises and his eyes were probably red from how much he had cried on his journey home. Phil looked down at the floor, feeling very uneasy. His stomach was flipping for some reason and he was on the verge of being sick. Luke's words were swirling around his head, making him feel dizzy. Luke had called him something he had never thought about before.

Gay.
